Well you can reinforce the final formed angel with either card which is bonus I guess. Still not worth it IMO.
Guess we'll find out when it's thrown in the mix.
I still can't get over Imprisoned in the Moon essentially being Turn to Frog for 6 less mana.
If it cost 8 it would be a slight power creep and it costs 3.
    Maybe I'm just missing something.

Maybe the second creature that triggers the Meld also reinforces into the Melded form. Like how Diregraf Colossus reinforces itself. That would change calculations a bit no?

I have mixed feelings about meld. On one hand it allows you to pack up to six creatures in your deck and you actually can drop each of them on the battlefield. On the other, it makes your hand kinda predictable. Like, you see Bruna enter the battlefield, then you know Gisela is coming so you save your answer for when she shows up and you kill two birds with one stone.

This is what I don't get. Blue now has a better creature removal than black.

Don't ever use it against Nahiri or someone with a Slayer's Plate out. Murderer's Axe will also make it a Shrine of the Forgotten Gods. Whether that downside is a big deal remains to be seen.

The only issue with Imprisoned is that if your opponent can pump that creature up afterwards and then they have free mana every turn to try and mount a come back. To be honest, I don't see the computer making good use of this but I could see using it on my own creatures and making some crazy per turn mana generation. What happens if you cast Imprisoned on a pumped up Imprisoned creature?
  • Im enjoying the Idea of Jace 2.0 Ult + Imprisoned in the moon. I kill my own creature and then watch the ult pump it to insanity. I could easily proc Prism Array, fevered visions, and a draw step, get +20/+20 and generate 20 or more mana on the next turns. I mean I do this now with Incubator drone and turn to frog, but this is better. I expect to see creature pumpers to combat against this though. I also like that this is free with Jace 1.0's second ability

It's worded like a turn to frog, so I would expect it to work the same way. If you cast 3 turn to frogs on other creatures, they reinforced, and ended up with a 3/3 frog. If you then frogged the frog, it would revert to 1/1.

Yeah exactly this. I moon-ed ( icon_e_wink.gif lol) something earlier tooday and then it had a murderers axe played on it, as well as a chitinous cloak. I then Moon-ed it again and it went back to a 0/1

Pleas devs, make the card gallery better, we need filters! decktester.com is dead now so it's difficult to search for cards...
Or better, make better in-game filters. I want to be able to filter for transform cards, or madness or werewolves...

To be fair black has better redundancy, and all the bonuses on the 5 mana spells are relevant.

Thing is, in paper, black and white are meant to have the best removal. White gets Declaration in Stone (2 mana with a drawback), black gets kill spells around 3 mana. Blue gets Imprisoned in the Moon for 3 mana with a drawback. Translated to MTGPQ, the black costs get doubled, the white cost gets x5ed, the blue cost... stays at 3 mana?!
