Enter the battlefield effects inconsistent when reinforcing

I'm not entirely sure how this is supposed to work, but whe i play Skyrider Elf as a reinforcement to another, the enter the battlefield effect takes place again, granting the converge buff from the second creature. While when I play a Murk Strider to reinforce another, the ETB doesnt take place.

    Are you certain in the case of Murk Strider that both conditions were met? You'd have to process 1(void gem needed to be on the board at the time of ETB) AND opponent had 5 or less cards in hand.

    You know what, opponent might have had a full hand, im not entirely sure. Ill do further trsting to be and see. I know that there were at least 5 voids on the field, though.
