I have some bottom-tier 4* in my queue but I only have room for one in my roster. Which would you choose between Power Man Luke Cage and Quake?

PS: I also have Spider-Woman and Wasp in my queue.

Quake isn't bottom tier, she's incredibly useful in a lot situations, and pretty flexible when champed. Roster her in a heartbeat. Maybe not Top 5 tier but I'd rank her in the Top 10 of the 4*'s.

Only got a couple of Power Man covers, so I can't comment on him yet.
  • Thanks. I heard Quake is great for defense and board shaking, but her offense is so-so, right? Also, Power Man's red power works best when there are no enemy Strike, Protect, or Attack tiles. Would you say that is the case less than 50% of the time?

Haven’t played enough with Power Man to make an informed comment, though what you said seemed to be about right from the loaner node I played with him.

Quake’s offense can be pretty good. Champed and at 5 green covers unboosted, she 4400+ AOE damage to the other team, more damage than Teen Jean does with her AOE green at 1 ap less (though no special tiles. Its not as good as Red Hulk’s mega green, but its better than his normal green for cheaper cost. I used them together a couple times and ended up just using his purple to fuel her green instead since it was quicker to bring teams down before they fired off something. And that board shuffle can be a life saver when timed right.

She’s adaptable. You have a good green user already like Red Hulk, then go 3/5/5. IF she’s partnered with a strong red /blue user, then 5/5/3. If you’re facing a team with no AOE attacks or just want a board shaker (ala Galactus fights) then 5/3/5.

Quake is fantastic, and very flexible. I'd agree, top-10 but not top-5.

I haven't done a whole lot with Power Man (eight covers, maybe?), but I'm not terribly impressed with what I've seen. Though he might work well with 5Cap on goon nodes, thinking about it.
