Useful level for some 4*s.

I've recently picked up a 12th Nick Fury cover (4/5/3) and an 11th Ghost Rider (4/4/3).

If I bring them up to, say, 200, will they be usable?

I'm comfortably keeping ahead of the 3* champ game and I have my 2* farm up and running for the most part. So I'm looking at bringing some 4*s into the playable range and am wondering where that falls for these characters specifically, given the rest of my roster.

I'd stick with 3*s for the time being if I were you, though to answer your question even the 160 range is usable for 4*s if you're still in 3* scaling. Each * hits harder than the one before, and the powers tend to have more dramatic effects. So even at identical levels 4*s will have an advantage over 3*s (assuming they have 13 covers). However Fury and Rider aren't really top-tier guys, and I'd put getting your 3*s up to farm level as a higher priority.

We're in very similar situations; I have all 40 3* champed, and no 4* with 13 covers (and the ones with 11-12 are at best mid-tier except for hulkbuster, as my 1/1/1 Iceman sobs off to the side).

I've soft-capped my 4* at 185, which has no impact on scaling even when they're boosted. Some of them are useful at this point (Cho at 5/4/3 was a beast boosted, and hulkbuster at 4/4/3 has some charms), but if not boosted they're low level PVE nodes at best.

One thing I would do immediately is to level Prof X to something like 145. You have 5 blue, so running Charlie's Angels (Prof X, Witch, GSBW) will allow you to punch way above your weight in PVE. Once you have enough purple to fire off GSBW once you'll probably just win. Not the most fun way to play, but effective. Other than that, I don't have any real advice; what I'm doing works for me, but I'll have to reassess when I get a 4* to 13 covers.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. I do use Charlie a good bit, actually, and have him at 85 because it stops him from having the best match damage on his blue when he's boosted. It's possible that I shouldn't really bother with that, considering it's a minority of PvEs, though.

I was wondering, specifically when it comes to Ghost Rider and Nick, how to get use out of them. The levels they're currently at don't really do much, even when they're boosted, and I've tried a bunch of different combinations with kinda disappointing results. I definitely wouldn't consider raising them to a point where they affect scaling but I was thinking maybe if I raise them to 180 or something they might actually do something.

Fury doesn't have a lot of uses beyond dropping him defensively PvP, and that's only because of his blue, but even then Carnage is a much better option for that role.

Ghost Rider I haven't found a ton of use for either. Except that his black is a boss-killer.

So yeah, neither of them are particularly fantastic and not worth bumping up your scaling for.
