Best Friends Speculation

We don't have much time left before the "Best Friends" preview is up in game, so until then, who do you think will be buffed?
The Anniversary starts on October 6 with a PVE event and the first PVP event starts later that day and debuts a new Versus Mode called Best Friends Forever featuring pairs of super-friends taking each other on. Notable Marvel best friends will be buffed similar to how couples were buffed for the Valentine's Day Versus Event earlier this year.

I wish the mechanic was that the "friends" had to be used together to get the buff, but in the Valentines event they just buffed characters that were a part of a "couple" even if you didn't use them together.

Anyway, who are the friends going to be?

Cyclops & Wolverine? Haha.

    I would very much like to see a game mode where rosters were limited based on the center character.

    So the player can choose anyone as the central character, but upon doing so, the universe of characters that could be used in the left and right slots was limited. So if you pick Iron Man as the center character, you must select the remaining members of your team from the Avengers, etc.

    That would be a fun one-off game mode. And they already have a built in mechanism to do it with the Team affiliations system. Unfortunately, it wouldn't work too well now because some characters have so many affiliations that they could be used on tons of teams, while other characters would mostly be left out, or would only have one or two viable partners.

    But it would be nice to see something in between in-season "you must use the featured character +2" and the off-season "you can use anyone, but some are boosted." systems that we have now.

    They changed 5* buffs, it's about 8 levels now. Not sure why they even bother.
