Devs using cards known to cause crashes

I had a similar topic on this a few weeks back, but it was basically concerning what players added to their own deck, and the ensuing conversation pointed out that most players likely don't even know how many or bad some of these bugs are.
This thread is about the devs, and their use of bugged cards in events. I will concentrate on Thing in the Ice for starters.
The bugs associated with this card are well publicized on the forum, and the devs surely are aware of their major, game crashing nature. They are not new issues by any means. However, in Acevyn's Madness, we have a node we must play against where this card is featured. In essence, the devs have set up a opponent where there is a better than average chance that the player automatically loses, due to a game crashing bug.
They should know by now what cards crash the game, and Thing in the Ice is an obvious one.
If they know a card is broken, they shouldn't include it in events. That just makes sense.

What specifically is wrong with thing in the ice? I've been playing that card consistently in my saheeli and flipping it all the time and I don't think I've ever run into a freeze with it on the board.
I have run into several freezes with tokens and goldnight castigator smashing into my octopus tokens this event though, and a number of reinforced werewolf crashes in both quick battle and past Terrors in the Shadows events.0 -

This is the brief description from the "Bugs" sub forum:
"Thing in the Ice - Causes game freeze on transformation when dealt damage from a source other than itself."
It's a well known thing. Read through the SOI bug list, there are at least 4 just for this one card.0 -
I crashed 4 times playing Bandit during this event. Many of my coalition members also crashed on Bandit.
We were figuring the total points we lost just on that encounter from freezes to be around 600 as a team.
