Hi all,

Please can I ask your advice on my current Roster?

https://mpq.gamependium.com/rosters/Vinniebabe/

I have 3 5* characters that I tend to use for trash clearing in PVE events but other than that don't really use them. I feel maybe they might be pushing up the difficulty of certain events.

Do you think I should sell them for now and acquire more 3* covers like icon_scarletwitch.png or icon_ironfist.png ?

Are there any other suggestions of characters to focus on or to get rid of to help with the difficulty?

I have an extra 1* (the spiderman) for those days Deadpools daily has Ironman, Storm or BW and I'm stuck with 2.

I don't Think the fivestars impact your scaling that much since they are about equal to a maxed and boosted threestar in level. I'd try to hang on to Black Bolt at the very least, he's supposed to be excellent.
Also, you don't really need four onestars on your roster for DDQ purposes - Iron Man should be able to get through it on his own (you could also Exchange him for Juggernaut who is even better). I'd start cutting there and try to add more threestars until you have them all.

Hello, First off Welcome to Puzzle Quest Forums. I hope so far you have been enjoying the game.

There are a couple of posts about this very subject but I will give you my opinion.

I would never delete a 5 star. Each match for a 5* is over 300+ damage at the starting level of 255. Unless you are willing to dump some heavy cash into this game, you may never get that cover back.

Yes, having 5* will cause you some issues in PVP, but if you are new to the game finish up the main storyline to get iso and covers, do the intro pvps when you can and repeat and rinse. After putting in some time (or money) it will start paying off. Def show your 2* some love, if you don't have a health roster of 3 stars. Neglecting them will only make it harder as they are there to help with the transition and help you through the dead pool dailys to get more 3 stars.

I think you should be able to get through the 1* daily with 1 fully powered lvl 50 1*, I can use storm, IM, or Spidey to get through it. Having 2 on your roster should be good enough ... prob IM and Spidey (Juggs is great buy only has two powers, one of which can hurt him) if they are not max , you may want to work on that as well.

Again this is only my opinion. Good luck.

Juggernaut can easily get through the DDQ on his own, you can Headbutt anyone who can move the board and then just do Unstoppable Crash to neutralize the goons. It doesn't matter that he only has two Powers since they are both excellent, while Iron Man has Three meh Powers. Iron Man works for DDQ, but there's no question Juggernaut is better.

Thank you all for your advice icon_e_biggrin.gif

It is much appreciated, I've been playing the game for over a year now and just kind of blindly played it. Only recently started to look into strategies and better ways to play.

I will ditch some single cover four stars and my other 1 stars once I have a juggernaut leveled

p.s. I am glad I kept the Black Bolt cover as I just got another one of the same power yellowflag.png

That's Another important thing - don't open any tokens until you can afford Another roster slot. Tokens don't expire, but the covers you get from them do. Then once you have enought HP for a new roster slot you can open tokens until you get someone new and then stop.

I know that feeling very well. icon_e_smile.gif But when you do manage to temper yourself the payoff can be very sweet indeed instead of ending up with a lot of unusable covers.

    ...

As others have said you currently have better options than selling the 5*, BUT if you ever do get to a point where you need to decide between slotting IF or Switch vs keeping 5* rogers (or that 1 cover spiderwoman), then IF and Switch win by a landslide for 3* and 3-4* transition players. Both of those characters are extremely useful at 3* and keep their usefulness in so many ways into the 4* transition. Just two examples are Rulk/Switch and Hulkbuster/IF, but they have many more uses than that.

An immediate use you can get from IF is to speed up the trash clearing you mentioned. His passive when maxed plus the 5* match damage ends those nodes very quickly.

One more thing, your maxed two stars are currently a goldmine of HP if you ever wanted to start champ farming them.
