Sale on coins/crystals random?

Hey besides the valentines day crystal sale I've haven't really seen any special deals on coins/crystals since. Does anyone know how frequently it happens? Another thing I've noticed is that I play on my mobile device iOS and my friend plays on an iPad and right now she is offered a bonus on her coin purchases, starting at the Logan's loonies bracket going up. I've been playing for a while and she been playing for two weeks. It seems like special offers are given to random people at different times? Can Anyone clarify cause if so I might wait for a bonus offer to make a purchase...but I'm getting impatient! I need a slot!

Thanks all.

Not often. It's understandable if the devs want to avoid sales being so frequent that they effectively become the regular rate (not so many people will buy when there's always a sale just round the corner, after all).

Incidentally, I'm playing on an iPad, and I'm not seeing those bonuses....

I had an offer on steam today. Nothing on iOS
  • There was an iso sale effectively with packs the last one star tourney.
  • Not many sales happen though I think they would get an uptick if they offered one during pves. Other option, assuming you have an ios device, is to get a discounted itunes card. There are usually 20% off sales on them and apply it to the game.
  • There is also a chance that they have an algorithm that offers discounts to lure in people who haven't spent money (ever, or recently), or to offer it at different times.

For example, my fiancé and I both play CastleVille (a Zynga game). She spends money on it, I don't. They gave me an offer to buy crowns (the in-game pay currency) that came with a bonus, and she didn't see that offer for about a week after it was offered to me.

Both of us are playing on the same tablet, same OS version. So it has to have something to do with buying patterns.

I don't know if D3 does this, but it's a pretty slick strategy.
  • if you play on ios it looks like best buy is having 15% off itunes cards this week
  • i just got back from buying a $50 card for 42.50. no tax when you buy cards, at least i wasn't charged tax
