Exile

We have the phoenix. We have zombies. We have supports. Anything else I'm missing that can come back from the graveyard with enough mana saved up or by discarding cards or landfind?

Right now you have Exile as when you want to get rid of a card in your hand yourself. That should really be changed to remove, not exile. Exile should be like that kill card that is colorless, only give it even more mana. So that if you use that card on the phoenix or zombies at least then at least that card can't come back. Exile target creature instead of destroy. Create a new card for exile target support.

(not sure how to resize this)

AI used it to steal my Prized Amalgam, then when it died, it wasn't in my graveyard.
Maybe it went to their graveyard. Hard to tell since I can't look at graveyards.

    It's a new mechanic, so I think it's a bug.

Yea....if it's not a bug however....is it their way of exile? I don't know but that's a round about way of doing it if so.

    I don't think it's intended.

I know what you mean. in the card game there was a special term... like burred and removed. burred went to the graveyard and removed was out of the game with no way to bring back.

I think with all these cards that can return themselves - let alone the ones that let you return other cards to play it has to be coming.
If we're getting into that much detail about things are in the graveyard vs exiled, I'd like to see the graveyard as well as exile pile and deck size so I can count the odds of a card being pulled.

It would add a bit more flexibility to deck building to be able to exile cards that can come back. A nice counter to Liliana and decks that use cards like Akoum Phoenix.

In a similar vein, add in cards that remove all copies of a card from the deck so it can never be played again that match (like Jesters Cap). This would be great for dealing with combo decks, to which there isn't always a reliable counter at the moment.

That would be too OP. Since there are only 10 cards, in one fatal swoop you just made them 9 cards for the game. Maybe like they can't draw that card for a few turns?

Good point. To fix that you could have it remove all copies of itself from your deck too, then it becomes an even trade. It could also be random which card it removes if you make it target the last card in their hand and then all copies of it from their library.

Yea, I like that. Not completely even as they would want their card you exiled while you....don't want the card anymore as it just did it's purpose but at least not OP at all.

Yes, amalgam will go to its controller's graveyard, or hand, if returned to hand by other means.
