Exert Influence

Exert Influecnce is over the top. 10 mana is simply far too low a cost for this effect. It looks like devs figured this out with Welcome to the Fold by capping power of the creature you can steal and minimally increasing the cost, but it's not too late to nerf Exert Influence.
When you consider that the median creature in PvP probably costs 10 mana, and the cheapest removal in the game costs 5, you are looking at a realistic minimum of 15 as an appropriate cost for this spell. I would even be happy to see this at 18.

I don't see a problem with Exert Influence unless it's coupled with a very highly tuned deck. If your creature switches to the opponent's side then you deal with it the same as you would deal with any other threat.
I will agree it is very annoying though. An increase of cost perhaps to 12 mana instead?
(Note: I do not have Exert Influence or Welcome to the Fold myself)0 -

I do, and it's very strong. It is the perfect defence against any non hexproof creature whether currently on the board or yet to hit the board.
It is a 2 creature swing which hits harder the more you invest in your attack force.0 -
Exert has serious flaws in it reliability as removal. I've played with it and will play "Turn to frog" or "Gone Missing" over it any day. Sure the times it works it wins you the game, but the times it doesn't work will cost you the game. I would be okay with it's cost going up but something else would have to give. Such as allowing the Casting player to destroy one of their own creatures in order to steal a new one. Exert Influence shouldn't become useless on a full board. 12 mana would be appropriate for a reliable mythic that spot removes and steals. I think we should be allowed more than 3 creatures on the board but that's another issue.
I look forward to blue having a spell that spot steals Supports as well.0
