Okay, so now that cupcakes are gone, let's address the issue of champed 5* rosters attacking nonchamped 5* rosters. When a champed 5* roster attacks a nonchamped 5* team, isn't that like like them eating a cupcake?! Champed 5* teams should take on champed 6* teams. Of course, this won't happen as then those players will complain. icon_lol.gif

I'd prefer it if you are beat by a team that is far superior to yours, you take reduced losses (while they still get full points for the win). That way, things don't seem nearly as unfair when a champ 4* team is beat up by champed 5* teams, or when 3* teams are taken out by 4* teams.

but champed 5* teams paid for the privilege!

But seriously, the game would/does suck for 5* players who can't see anything but other champed 5* teams all the time. There just aren't enough players or team combos at that level. And the difference between a 550 and 500 is really significant.

So demi is totally. There aren't enough 5*s to send them off to play in their own pool. And demi can't risk pissing the whales off because they make so much of their revenue from that tiny fraction. So the result is that whales have to play with everyone else. And because the gap between 4* and 5* is laughably huge (at least until you can get 60 or 70 champ levels on your 4*s, which is super easy for non-whales!), the results are comical and at least as imbalanced as a 3* player fighting a loaner/1*/1*.

For all the people who want to thank the whales for funding their experience, can we just take a minute to think about the implications of this?

    1) Whales buy out a new character, which makes the devs a lot of money.
    2) Their game experience is worse because they have no variety or depth in their matches.
    3) Everyone else gets to be frustrated every time a whale finds their way out of ELO hell and attacks them.
    4) D3 introduces other characters too quickly because they keep getting paid so well for it, which both prevents them from putting out any other kind of content and increases the gap between whales and non-whales even more, making the game worse for everyone.

So maybe, just maybe we could stop fostering a community that encourages people to play in a way that leads to everybody having less fun?

sure, now if we could only all agree on a way to encourage people to play. . .
