Thing in the Ice - rework suggestion

Have the card transform when 4 spells/supports are cast without needing its toughness to be at a threshold to trigger. Although, there's nothing wrong with letting these casts still damage itself. This will let the card be reinforced without needing to cast 14+ spells/supports to make it flip.

I'd like to see them change the fact that if it takes enough direct damage to kill it, it transforms instead of dies. That is not how this card should work and I'm not so sure it's a bug as much as an oversight.
  • Direct damage maybe, but removal, destroy and bounce should kill it.

100% agree. Wouldn't work this way in paper magic and it makes the card extremely difficult to deal with for red decks. The card would be considerably more fair if it didn't transform from lethal damage or sweepers the way it sometimes does.
