a) If it's destroyed from hand (eg Lilliana) I'd have expected it to appear on the battlefield But it doesn't. Maybe the card wording is 'from battlefield' which would have been nice to know

b) If a reinforced stack is destroyed only one is returned, even though the others exist in the graveyard and can be summoned.

    Well it can appear a little misleading but it's working as intended IMO.

    The card effect to actually come in play requires the creature to be in the field.
    Any effect that can happen outside of card being played needs to have special description(like "if this is in the graveyard" for amalgam).

    Reinforced has the same rule. Since it requires the destruction only the copy of the card that got destroyed fulfills the requirement to get back in play since only THAT copy was destroyed.
    Amalgam can return in multiple copies cause for each of the copies the reanimation condition is true(a zombie entered the battlefield).

    I still don't understand why they keep the destroy word for some discard effects.
    It only leads to misunderstandings like this.
