Theoretically there are 10 combinations of color trios. Are they going to skip white, blue, black because no one could fulfill wolves without a multi-color planeswalker?

I don't know for sure, but that's what makes the most sense. They want to make the event accessible to the most people.

They've already repeated one combination (white/red/black). That would seem to indicate they aren't planning to hit every combination, though obviously I have no way of knowing.
