Freezes on iOS after as of Friday afternoon

Today I came home and switched to the iPad from my Android phone. The game loaded and went into the event I last had. Then it froze. I force quit the application and went back to the phone. Worked fine and I switched it to another event and closed. Back on the iPad the app opened again and went into the new event, then it froze. It was working on the iPad this morning so I suspect a game update in the middle of the day as often happens on Fridays.
