Your team for the final gauntlet node

First time I've ever beat the gauntlet in its entirety. And I thought it'd be interesting to see what team other people used for BB/XDP/Peggy. I lost about 4 times and decided to get crazy. Used my champ Prof X (at 3/5/5), Beast and She-Hulk. Got the professor invisible and starting making some super special tiles. Beat it on my first try. So, how did everyone else take down what I thought was the hardest node (rightfully so) in the gauntlet?

It was a tough one. I used Iceman (L280), cyclops 4* (Boosted to L374) and OML (L435).

Used damage boost 30%+, 2 MBW TUs.

Target XFDP first, stun Peggy and Blackbolt whenever I can.

I tried several things, and kept getting murdered by Black Bolt. In the end, I gave in and cheesed it with Charlie's Angels. I'm not proud of it, as it's the first time I've resorted to that level of cheese in quite some time...

I didn't have any problem on this node. Maybe it was just luck.
I used OML lvl 300 / Cyke lvl 372 and Ant Man lvl 377.
To be honest, I used this team on every nodes of the entire gauntlet, except the ones where one of my char was on the other side.

Championed Cyclops, Championed Hulkbuster and level 200 Antman boosted to whatever it gave me. I think I matched damage Peggy down then fired a power to take her under 30%. Then Cyclops one shotted Deadpool with 10 red and 10 team up and Antman unloaded his purple and yellow and Hulkbuster fired black. Happy I'm not doing that node again.

    IM40 at 177
    3 Thor at 179

While I was wailing on Deadpool, I didn't realise Peggy was making me spend so much extra AP, so I went after her next. I left Black Bolt for last. It was down to the wire and super lucky I was able to stave off Black Bolt's passive damage for as many turns as I did, but a win is a win. Now to go back through the branches and fully complete my first ever Gauntlet.

221 4thor, champed hood, and champed im40. Sim 42 was Deadly at 325. Wiped a few times with other teams. This time kept charged tiles off the board and it was no problem. After recharge went off, stunned XPool and bolt then downed peggy. A couple more red matches and that was it. Loved the challenge though.

I went Iceman-IM40-4Cyc. Collected as much AP as possible, focusing on yellow, stunned peggy, then unloaded without the extra cost. Once Peggy's dead it's fine, the extra cost is really painful especially with Black Bolt behind as effectively a timer that will kill you if you take too long and/or don't clear the charge tiles.

That's impressive. Every other comment has 4* champs or OML. You beat it with a 3* team.

I haven't gotten there yet - only halfway through alpine. But this gives me hope. Maybe this will be the season I get more than halfway through the final sub.

    I used a Champ Antman, a champ 4clops and Iceman lvl 274.
It was very hard because of Black Bolt who "slowly" murdered my team.

I Ko 4pool first, BB and left Peggy for last. Cyclope finished her with his blue, a TU cascade and a red. So very close.
I think it was a mistake not to KO Peggy first, even if there was a 4Pool counter attack.

But it was very interesting to play againt that !

    Lvl 298 opponents

Played with 3Hulk at 262, BP at 261 & KK at 252, no boosts, passed first time with Hulk down and minimal damage to other 2.

Played majority of Global with this trio. Had some luck with the board, but thought I was done when DP got Countdown for What out quickly in green. However got BP and KK stunned by Peggy (I think) so they stayed away and Hulk kept taking damage to stock-pile green and thankfully purple and black. Then just as Hulk was downed BP & KK came available and I fired off multiple Embiggened, Inhumans and a Rage of the Panther to finish.

First time I've done the Gauntlet since the very 1st running I think, not played much since then until more recently.

I went with 4Thor, IM40 and Scarlet Witch. Boosted red, yellow, blue, purple and all ap to get the train rolling quickly. Recharged IM after the first match, then could stun Peg and BB, and smite xpool (with a bit of help from BB's charged tiles) by the time the counters turned over. From there, took out Peg, keeping BB stunned for the rest of the match from either reality crush or power surge. IM40 continued to charge whenever ready.

Posted this in another thread here, but it's good info so I'll paste it here too.

    star: star.pngstar.pngicon_hulk.png 5/3/5
    icon_magneto.png 3/5/5
    icon_kamalakhan.png 5/5/3

This team got me through the last mission, quite effectively. Take out Deadpool first, he is the most dangerous by far. KK keeps everyone healthy, use hulk green, and fire magneto powers as often as you can, and use kk purple to make more green. Use it on yellow or black, help clear them off.

    Good luck everyone!
  • Champed Cyke + Loki + Hood. Ap stealing prevented them from using powers. Took out Peggy first (24k+ damage with one shot is impressive), then xfdp and black bolt at last.
  • Tried a few times with the boosted characters, and underleveled 5*, but finally got lucky and beat it with:

It took me two tries, but I beat it with CMags, Black Panther, and Kamala. The first try, I pretty much got hosed from the beginning. It wasn't even close. But on the second try, I was able to use a Kate Bishop "Because... Boomerangs" TU that I won from a previous node. I used that to one-shot Deadpool before he can really spam with his annoying countdown tiles. I then ground down Black Bolt and beat Peggy at the end.

I beat that node 3 times as I wanted more experience playing against BB. My scaling was at 353, so more or less evenly matched with my own roster (top characters for this event is cyc and ant in the 370s, then kk and cmags in the 290s).

1st win was shockingly easy (cyc, kk, xfw, all champed). Wind on first try and only took about 10k damage to cyc. In retrospect, I think for very lucky with bb's passive as I collected several blue/red charged tiles early on and never looked back. This easy victory may have left me a bit overconfident.

2nd win took a lot more effort. I wiped several times using my original team; when rng gave those charged tiles to the ai instead of to me, I got crushed very quickly. Finally busted out winfinite. It's definitely slower to get going against peggy, but reliable as ever once you can knock her health down.

3rd win was straight up again, cyc/kk/Loki. Thought I would try some ap suppression of my own. Won (just barely) on second attempt with this crew, would say that i had pretty neutral board luck.

    I went with IM40/Goddess/Hood

My strategy was to lean in on charge tiles and hope I could overwhelm them when it mattered. My first stun was to shut peggy down so I could use abilities at normal price to down XDP. Then stun Peggy some more to knock down Bolt. A stunned Peggy was saved for last.

Those guys were level 418 for me and just used brute force.

    420 oml\420 phx\380 4clops

No boosts but get purple and generate red. 4clops blasts em.

Opponents were lvl 361 so it was manageable with a 4* team. First time I beat it, I think I used some OML/Prof X team that ended with PX as the last man sitting (the usual invis & tile boosting strategy). Took out Peggy then DPX then Bolt.

Second time I beat it, I went with OML/4Thor/IM40, which worked great with Bolt's charged tiles helping things along. Also helps to stun Peggy so that your costs go back to normal for a few turns.
