    Oml/4cyc/rhulk .

Took out dp first, mostly with match dmg, while collecting the charged green/purple for rhulk. After dp was down, a red/blue combo from cyc took down peggy and bolt alone went down quickly.

Can anyone tell me who the two essentials are on Sub 3? Is it Panther and CMags?

done. ran most of it with oml/cyke/hood. changed out stuff when locked out. winfinite once. whaled one essential. no wipes, but 2 were very close. hard, but never had to add health packs. did most of subs 2 and 3 today. will go back and get some xp in sub 1 but probably only halfway through that. glad I have a natural lull on Mondays. now I can move on to simulator and pvp and LRs tomorrow.

edit: anyone struggling with 42 who hasn't tried oml/cyke/hood, give it a shot if you have em. take a mbw teamup and gather ap as long as possible. stun everyone and unleash. peg and bb are the real threats so while xpool is stunned, concentrate on them, peg first (get her down before she unstuns), then bb. if you leave bb too long he'll start whittling away your health with his passive and charged tiles. his charged tiles can work in your favor though.

I rather enjoyed the first run through; a couple of wipes, Charlie's Angels got a bit of use for speed and health pack saving, though when it got to the business end of the event, Cyclops and Antman did the job, with a bit of help from Recharge, I mean Ironman. No whales necessary and even managed node 42 first try (and before I remembered to put Antman to 5/5/3 for the big punches). Given I remember times when I could hardly get anywhere in the third zone, good to see the progress!

Heh, lucked through on my first attempt of the final node.

    Facing level 302 XFDP/BB/Peggy with my (boosted) 282 Cmags, 184 GSBW and 178 IM40.

CMags was downed first, mostly due to a really inconvenient Countdown for What? and horrible board layout keeping me from removing charged tiles that BB was placing. He was able to dish out some serious damage with his blue before that, though. I managed to get off two recharges with IM, but other than that he was mostly acting as meat shield (especially important to keep Cmags alive for a few more turns when he was down too 500ish health).
Most other damage came from BWs sniper rifle; long story short, after downing Peggy and Deadpool she still had to deal with Black bolt who miraculously failed to kill her by 79 health before she could place a tactical pistol shot to get rid of his last 2K health.

    Not complaining icon_lol.gif

(For sake of completeness, I also used 2 team ups (Illusions + Thor yellow))

Now all that's left is doing the required nodes...

I'm stonewalling against the first Global Domination sub, level 309 opposition. The huge drop-off from my max Ant-Man to a 285-ish CMags probably doesn't help.
  • Just wondering, what's up with scaling this time? During previous runs I had a number of lvl395 nodes. Dealing with them with my 3star roster was fun and challenging. This time the final node was lvl365 only, piece of cake for my champed cyke..

This was possibly one of the easiest Gauntlets I have participated in (which is all of them). Boosted Cyke is just a beast. Paired with IM40 he is just a killing machine. I have both Antman and Starlord champed as well so I would add one as a third for purple (antman if special tiles could also be an issue SL otherwise) and if one of the main duo was locked out I would piece together something from that group plus cmags, KK and BP. The only node where I even lost anyone was the Phoenix/BB/4cyke node which was the only thing that approached brutal this time around. It's too bad we still just get one 4* cover for finishing the whole thing. No big CP prize, no legendary token, no multiple 4* in sub 3. Any of those would be nice prize additions.

The final sim has got me!!!

Cruised through everything else with BP KK CMAGS unless against them

42 I've tried a few combos with no luck.. Last attempt was Cmags BP hulk was the best effort with only Peggy left at 2500 then she ultimate soldiered BP

Anyone wanna peruse my roster and suggest something else

Edit: so I need to take it back... Retried the above Cmags BP Hulk with boosters stockpile rainbow, purple/blue & Green/black

Wiped the floor with them health at the end was Cmags 11876, BP 7800 & hulk 3000

    Couldn't believe it!!

    Try Cmags/KK/IM40

This team is about fast AP generation and hitting with CMags blue/red and kk green. I would actually run kk 3/5/5 here to get as much green out as fast as you can.

Another option is to swap out kk with hood. MAke hood 3/5/5 as his yellow will be too expensive to use and his black at 5 could be useful if you run into a bonanza of yellow.

Simulation 32 was really confusing for me, CMags was able to launch his red and blue powers five turns in a row.

Finished with only one loss to sub 36 used OML starlord, antman, iceman and magneto. Most subs on global were 330-360

Facing 304/305/304 teen jean, hulkbuster, Lthor. Needs some team combos as winfinte is a no go, can't use IM40.

Have all three stars champed, no viable 5's.

I used Champed Hood (changed to 3/5/5), Iceman (5/5/3) and LVL 209 ingpin (2/3/5) Take out Jean Grey first, as Iceman can get Match 5 with his purple. Focus on denying red (Iceman helps with that, since he drains reds from Hulkbuster/Thor) Hood's Intimidation at 5 drops all of the countdown for Kingpin's yellow.

I brought along a Whales team up, just in case...but I never needed it. I'm sure that will be used by the end of the gauntlet, though. icon_rolleyes.gif

Boosted Cyke is just a beast. Paired with IM40 he is just a killing machine.

This. I got cute and tried all sorts of teams, before I wised up. Dumped several thousand of my SHIELD Rank ISO-8 windfall into 4* Cyclops and Ant-Man, and went to town. Don't fight it, just keep pounding them with the boosted characters!

This. My roster isn't as developed as yours is, PUM-SPAK, but boosted KK/Hulk + IM40 made quick work of this node. You just pile up so much green so quickly, and the AI playing Bolt's charged tiles so poorly makes it even faster.

I'm definitively playing a different game, I'm stuck at 31, have never seen something as hard, my top characters are 277 Nick Fury and Hulkbuster and I have to face three 318 and discard HB, that means I have to hit HB at least twice with NF blue without getting hit (HB will kill anybody on my roster with one hit)

I do not see the fun.

I`ve got through the gauntlet for the second time and for the first time without using DPs whales. My favourite team was KK, Lady Thor (CMags and Star-Lord were also good alternatives to her) and IM40.

Well in my own slowpoke way I've cleared the first two subs. The Panther cover is welcome, he's always been a stingy drop for me. That brings him to 173.

I'll start on the third sub later today & see how far I get...

I confirm that for sim 42, KK (lv261), IM40 (168) and Hulk (264) is a good choice to win. Not an easy win because Black Bolt cast his "scream" doing 8k damage to all my team killing Hulk (other character with 1k life remaing)................................................... icon_evil.gif
