Roster queue starting to fill

Hello there. Fairly new player (day 41) Got lucky on my very first Legendary pull, hitting OML , quite helping me in PVE/PVP (and it's maybe starting to hurt me in PVE where it's becoming quite hard, should sell it even it saves me lots of health packs ?) . My main issue is that the cards on my queue are starting to pile up and I do not know how to sort that between that and my actual roster.
Roster : https://mpq.gamependium.com/rosters/Setsunael/
Currently in queue, there's :
Hawkeye *2 *2
Scarlet Witch
Kamala Khan
Rocket & Groot
Black Panther
Daken
Punisher
The Hulk
Sentry
Iron Fist
Ragnarok
Venom
Peggy Carter
Spider-Man
I think that this Spidey is good to go to the recycle bin (and my CP to be saved until some future time) , but i'm pretty puzzled about what to do with the rest. Any help would be greatly appreciated !

How many roster slots can you afford?
This is one of the big pitfalls of the early game - it's a lot easier to get new covers than it is to get the Hero Points to roster them. In general, at this Point you should probably focus on your two-star roster. I Think it is way too soon to roster fivestars, and it will be a long time Before the fourstars are useful, so I suggest you stop opening Legendary tokens until your roster has matured. As long as you are low on HP it's probably best to stop opening tokens period until you have enough HP for a new roster slot, then you open tokens until you get someone new. Focus on twostars first, then threestars and so on.
OML and Spider-man will probably hurt you a lot more than they help - as you mentioned they drive up PvE scaling, and they also cause you to be matched with tougher opponents in PvP. I can understand the desire to hang on to OML at least, but I do Think the right decision is to let him go now and try to find him later on when you are ready to roster him.0 -
You have a fairly decent 2 star roster already, so I would sell that hawkeye.
that Spiderman you have there should also go because it will screw with your pvp and pve leveling system
Try and cover that peggy carter as yellow is a pretty helpful power, especially at lower levels.
sell the sentry and ragnarok since they aren't that great of 3 stars.
Try and cover iron fist, rocket and groot, scarlet witch, black panther, and daken. (I would try and go with r&g first, then scarlet witch, then daken, then black panther, then iron fist in that order)
its up to you if you want to sell kamalla khan, hulk and punisher.
I would also advise selling captain america (2 star one) squirrel girl, and human torch. cap doesn't have any levels in him, you have good 2 stars already, and he is just wasting roster space at this point. squirrel girl and human torch are also not that great 3 stars either.
rest is up to you. hope I could help and good luck0 -
imo you should keep 5*'s because you rarely see them. Just after you can not beat story mode some later nodes, I would consider selling them. But it's up to you do you want to take the short route or long route. Short route (keeping the 5*'s) will be very difficult for your story mode scaling but help greatly in PvP. I have sold just once my 5* and I still regret it (5* Ironman) however I was already past 400 days of playing when started getting my first 5*'s so for you it might be better to sell the 5*s for now and then you have a lot easier story mode nodes. But it's up to you. I would keep all 5*'s and roster all possible 4*'s you come by.
To roster Spidey, I would sell Squirrel girl for now since she isn't that good except in very special cases (vs Carnage, Falcon, Bullseye, Daken, Dr Doom etc) I suggest not to level anyone past lvl 144 yet and once you get some 2* there, sell them and re-roster. That way your scaling wont go at least even higher yet. Peggy instead of Quicksilver imo (or Spidey 3* but he is very good defensive character later) If you get enough HP, I suggest rostering also Kamala Khan and Iron Fist but if you don't in time, just sell them all or wait until the last minute when cover is about to expire and then do your decisions. For you roster slots probably isn't yet too expensive.
Also keep every possible 2*, don't sell any of them until it's necessary it will help you to do your Deadpool dailys. (each of them net you approx 4000 iso-8 / day for clearing every node)0 -
As much as it sucks, selling your 5*s is the wiser option. Yeah they're hard to come by, yeah they're the strongest characters in the game, but having them bumps up your scaling by a huge margin and is probably making the back-half of PvE nodes way harder than they've been. Plus, they're never required characters. Definitely want to hold back on opening legend tokens for the time being.
As for your other characters; roster space is the biggest hurdle for new players these days. The burden gets lighter once you've got enough champed characters to see HP coming in more regularly, but the first few months are a challenge. If you can drop a few bucks to get the HP needed to roster them. Though if you want to keep it F2P then cuts will be made. Don't worry too much about the lower-end 3*s, once the ball gets rolling you'll get 3* covers at a decent enough clip that they'll fill in fast.
If you have to pick from the ones listed Iron Fist should be top of your list. He's easily in the top 3 for 3* characters and a strong contender for the #1 slot. Scarlet Witch and Khamala Khan are also top tier. Those 3 should be the priority above all the others.
Rocket & Groot, Daken, and Black Panther are also really good choices. They're all solid and will be workhorses for your time at 3*. R&G and Daken especially for grinding PvE since they have true heals, and Panther has the strongest AoEs among 3*s. But unlike KK, Switch, and Fist they don't see a lot of play in 4*s, so less of a long-term investment.
Punisher and Hulk are okay, but their glory days were a long time ago.
Sentry and Rags you're just going to want to sell for now.
Peggy is really strong and won't screw your scaling, but it's going to be a while before she's at a usable point. Venom I personally like but can't recommend him ahead of some of the others. His yellow packs a serious punch, but his powers don't mesh that well together and he's ultimately only shines against high-level PvE Hawkeyes and sentry drones.
Just sell the 2* Hawkeye. You're good for 2*s, and if you're going to make room for another 2* then you'll want Storm, not Hawkeye. And if you're looking to cut people already on your roster then the 2* Captain America and Squirrel girl are your best bets. You're pretty set for 2*s and Cap is underwhelming at that level. And while keeping Squirrels is a good idea in the long term, trading her for Fist, Switch, or KK is worth it.0 -
Thank you for your responses, it really helps0

I can't believe you guys are telling him to sell his OML yellow, which is arguably the best 5* cover in the game.
Also, 5* Spider Man is very very good in the long run.
IMO, if you sell those two you will be kicking yourself in a year when you are actively trying to pull 5* covers.
Yes, scaling will hit you very hard for a while, but I'd still tough it out - those two chars are worth it.0 -
Not sure about Spiderman but I agree - OML yellow is the rarest and best cover you can have. Just don't pull any more CP untill you have solid 3* champed (keep hoarding it, regardless of how big that number is - by the time you will be ready for 5* the chances are the whole RNG situation will be improved). One OML will not destroy you but his healing and match damage can help you with progression.0

I myself got OML while still in the 2* transition and honestly it only helps me out in PvP more than it hurts me. I'd definitely keep it especially since 5* are the most valuable so you might as well save it for the long run.
Saving everything in the long run gets dangerous though. I'd start getting 3* covers now since you managed to already champ a bunch of 2*s. Rocket and Groot is a good one and you already got 2 covers of them so I'd recommend those.
Not sure about saving Spider Man 5* though. It does seem tempting.0
