Ready to increase my skills in PVP

Hello all. I've been playing for a little over 10 months now and I'm having some level in success in both PVP and PVE. I really want to better utilize my roster and be able to reach 1000 points in PVP events. I'm not really concerned with placing high and earning the covers at the end - i really want to get my roster to its strongest point so that i can steadily hit 1000 points. Thanks to the Shield Ranks i'm sitting on 420,000 ISO while i'm waiting to decide who to make a champion(s) next.

I'm missing some of the obvious all-stars like Kamala Khan, Iron Man model 40, and Black Panther. I'm still firmly in three star land as my only 4 star with more than four covers is my Hulk Buster (2/1/5). I've kept him at level 120 because I do not want to use him since his repulsor punch is so weak. Currently I can champion Doctor Doom and Beast but neither character appears to be on many top tier lists.

I am hoping that you guys can help me with any advice or critiques on whom to level up next so that I can stop getting knocked around once i reach 700+ points. Thanks to everyone in advance and I will try to add my roster either to this post or in my signature.

Have you tried hulkbombing? Your hulk and patch are fine for that. In your case I would climb to 700+ points as early as possible, drop 8h shield to get the health packs in and hulkbomb the **** out of them before it expires (preferably 10 h till end of event or over 12 hours till end of event). You will get attacked less (but hulkbomb is a target on your back as it's not reliable on defense) when the timing of your push does not coincide with the shielding strategy of others (3-8-3).

This strategy is quick by health pack consuming so line up some fat targets before you unshield.

Other teams that can finish a fight quickly - IF + Cyclops, IF + Cage.

Getting to 1k just to grab the cover with 3* team is all about quickness. So fast hitting teams are the way to go.

Great advice Magic. Someone suggested to me before about using the Hulk as a meat shield. He suggested trying him with Grey Suit Black Widow to just fill the board with as much green tiles as possible but he also warned about the defensive side of that strategy. I like to use Mr. Patch & Loki early on in an event before switching to more beefy attackers like classic magneto, luke cage, or cyclops. Learning how to properly shield hop & break is something i really need to fully understand to strike gold as well as working on better characters to put out when i go on the defensive so i'm not the "easy target" within the point range at that time in the event.

Probably wait to use ISO until KK and IM40 are ready. BP, QS, and Daken are decent too if you choose to level more 3*. But I would definitely champ KK and IM40 when you can.

After those two, you have a good 3* team and can concentrate on 4* transition. When I was starting 4* transition, I can't exactly remember, but I would start less than 24 hours left in shard. Climb to 400-500, you'll have to find your floating point, and let retals and whatnot happen. Sometimes slowly get points to bring back to floating point. Then with 3 or 8 hours left in event, I would climb as fast I can to 1k. 8 hours was definitely easier and then when I hit 1k I used 8hr shield.

Another strat you could use, is climb to floating point, wait for the 3 or 8 hour left in event, climb to 800-900, and 3hr shield. Wait 30 min and q up some good points, but only 2 or 3 at most, them drop shield and hit 1k.
