I'm only a month into this game but am already getting a little annoyed by the barrage of getting the same characters over and over again. In one of the upcoming patches they should implement a cover trading system. Wether it be I post a cover and say which cover I want i.e I'll give a storm c yellow for a mags now blue. Or if its only trading within alliances. You could also have the people who have a bunch of covers and want to give a few of a star below and then get one cover of a star above. Any way that you do it would add a whole new aspect to the game and would then make players want to be on the lookout for that certain card so that they could trade for that other certain card they've been trying to get. Instead of spending a lot of money and not getting what they want this would ensure that users stay happy and play the game a lot more. I know I would start hoarding those covers and be on the lookout for any good trades. Something to think about.

  • I'd settle for being able to trade with the system. As in, let me take a character cover and trade it for a different color cover for the same character.
  • That would also be beneficial and is another great idea for improving the game. If they'd had that I'd have a few more characters at max in the powers department.
  • But then they wouldn't sell as much tokens, you would have a bigger, better roster, so they sell less packs too. your enjoyment of the game is just a mean to their goal : milking as much money as possible, not the other way around.

    Just look at recent changes : newer player didn't buy as much coins as older player ? Make 2* rewards 3x times more scarce to force them into buying tokens.
    Those characters are underused ? Make a Heroic mode and force players to use them so that they buy token/iso to build them up.

    This is just a few recent examples but there have been many more, and it shows clearly their policy regarding the game...
  • True true. Many of these games our only money grabs and its hard not to spend money once your hooked. I just hope these changes are not permanent as I would sooner uninstall this game than spend near a hundred dollars just to get certain characters. I hope its not to late and they'll change things around so that its once again friendly to long time users and newbs alike. That's why I think the cover trading would add a little something extra to the game. Say a newbie gets a three*** character but only has one cover. They could then look for a trade and possibly demand two or three two** covers in exchang for that three star. Would there be glitches? Yes but I think the benefits would outweigh the negatives. It'd be cool to see it in play finally.

    The biggest problem would be the same problem all the mobile "card-style" games have (until they each inevitably limit it somehow). Players just make a bunch of alt accounts and trade any good stuff they get to their main.

    The only feasible solution I can think of immediately would be to only allow trading of one color cover for another color cover within the same character. Anything else gets instant massive abuse...

    Main acct offers trade "purple Yelena for a Red Hulk"; alt acct says "Here you go!"
  • Unless they do something like an auction block where you just put up your card and say what you'll take in exchange for it. Then it would cut down on the alternate accounts. But I still think that there should be trading within alliances. That way if your buddy has a card that you want and you have one that he wants then you can trade and both be happy. But seriously I think if they're going to implement it it would probably have to be in auction form. But keep the trade within alliances as well because say you want a card your buddy told you about. You set it all up and he posts his card but your just not fast enough and someone remarked lose gets the card. Happened to me a couple times in another game and I was mad. But all and all the multiple accounts could be a problem but only if you let yourself worry about it.

    In my example above, who else would accept the trade (garbage card for good card)? And if they did, still just as fantastic for you! It's a problem whether you "let yourself worry about it" or not, because all of a sudden anybody who spends the time to run a bunch of alts has a HUGE advantage over anyone who doesn't. Other games make huge numbers of changes just to fix the problems created by that kind of trading.
    Even within an alliance, you could just make an alliance filled with your main and your alts. It happens all the time in other games...
  • To limit abuse you could limit the trade between character of the same rarity only, you have to give a 3* to get a 3*. Then again RNG is one the best way to make money and keep the players addicted so it's probably not going to happen since it would greatly impair their revenue stream.
