How to set up defensive team in PVP?

Lately I've been foraging more into PVP because it gives a lot of HP for less work than PVE. But my team is mediocre. I usually use whatever boosted characters available, climb carefully to 575 then quit. I don't use shields, not at such low rank, and got smashed repeatedly afterwards. My score plummeted and I usually finish T200. icon_e_sad.gif

Does anyone have suggestions on how to set up my defensive team so that when I take a break, I would leave my most scary defensive team on the board? Can I deliberately lose in my last match for the day with my best defensive team, to set this up? How do you guys set this up?

Thanks in advance.

The defense team is the last team you won a match with in that PvP. Use your offense team when you are climbing, and then when you are done win one more fight with your defense team to set it up.
I usually try to save a seed team for the end of the climb to make it real easy to switch.

Thanks for the answer. The thing is, I usually have no time (and health packs) to climb to 575 in one go. It's just after 500 is when I started to be attacked a lot. I go in stages, starting with 200 then in increment of 100 (that is usually 3 matches). That way, even when I tried to leave even 2 of the seed teams for later, they are usually gone by the time of my third climb. What to do then? Should I just brave my last match after 575 with my best defensive team?

One trick I like is to make the first defense team a very weak team to get some hits from other weak teams and save the retaliation nodes for later - they don't get overwritten by other retaliations. It does mean more climbing is required though, which doesn't seem to appeal to you. Another trick is to go in with a nasty teamup to help you clear the node. Ask your Alliance for help and boost team-up AP to help you get it off sooner.

Nasty TU powers! Why didn't I think of that? Thanks for the answer. I guess I will try this as soon as I can get my hand on my gadget.
