From the comments is sounds like a big crash and reloading some old state from a backup. Like rolling back the last X minutes.

So, after investigation on this one:

Got hit with something this morning that should have taken our servers down, but they didn't (yay working failover server tech!). It *did* make things unresponsive for some people for about 15 minutes total depending on what mode they were in when it hit. Our data shows that it wasn't a total blackout for those people either as affected users were able to connect during that time, just not reliably. The part about some people getting a loading screen was that we happened to coincidentally push our daily data patch out at the same time as the server wonkiness started. The patch most definitely wasn't it though.

Long story short: We got alerted, server techs took a look and made a few tweaks to our systems and everything should be on an even keel again with protections to help against the same sort of thing happening in the future.

If it wasn't, it sure acted like it was in how it hit the servers. I'm not conversant in server-lingua though, so there could be a fine line there that I'm missing.

Yeah I saw you up there when I woke up this morning.

Someone with a max patch and only 2 covers (both green) for 4* Wolvie and barely any other 3*s started shield hopping and climbed to first with about an hour left. Whenever I see something like that nowadays I just let them have it. But my Psylocke is finished now.

Did you stay top 5?

hhaha yeah I saw that that guy doing that too. Wanted to try to beat him out so he could waste those HP for nothing but the server had issues. Ended finishing top 5 though so no complaints
