Transform on play?

Had a werewolf with standard "if no card played" text transform the turn it was played by the ai.

Ai's first move was a decent cascade they got a werewolf out and as their turn ended the werewolf transformed. So not only did it have summon sickness but it was also the card played which should have prohibited the change.

Unfortunately I didn't think to see which one it was for sure but I think it was convicted killer.
