MPQ on older phones

Since my Galaxy S4 broke down yesterday, I had to revert to my old phone (HTC Desire S) until it's fixed...naturally, the first thing I installed was MPQ.
thankfully, it does run on it, but the speed at which it does is atrocious...you can see the damage numbers float in slow motion upwards....damn, I want my phone back
