    Also, thanks rainkingucd for getting this thread up. It's not letting me give your posts reputation for some reason.

    Finally, a much, much less sincere "thanks" to whoever let RNG determine boosted characters instead of looking at the actual event, as the CP node is much more difficult for a limited-roster event that still relies on 2* characters when Ares is an opponent...

    Edited to complain about Ares being an opponent, after using Cap, Squirrel Girl & Ares as my "A" team this event, so far.

    My rough math, assuming numbers remain consistent with the previous runs:

    3 clears/day x 9 nodes = 10k + 13k + 17k = 40k

    4 clears/day x 8 nodes (missing Spider-Woman) = 11k + 14k + 18k = 43k.

    This doesn't even include the main page nodes, so max progression should be a cakewalk this event (assuming the limited roster doesn't kill you).

    That's a bummer. Want to talk about quality of life...three clears for progression was fantastic. Devs should go back to that now that there is a reward for full clears (XP).

    So if you have all three essentials, including Jessica, you probably don't need 4 full clears in every sub. This is slightly less work than Venom Bomb.

    Method:
    • The number of available points is the same as the last run.
    • The essential node values are unknown - I calculated the 4* values as the value of the 3* divided by 0.93, and the 2* node decreased by the same amount of points
    • I conservatively assumed a maximum amount of points obtained from the loaner node as twice the initial value. E.g. if the node is worth 100 pts, I assumed 200 pts regardless of the number of clears.
    • The repeatable node in the main event was considered to be worth a total of 300 pts regardless of the number of clears
    • The fifth clear was set at 80% of the full clear value.

    Anyone want to talk about what lineup they are using on this run because, wow, this is some bad stuff here. I used up all my health packs grinding out 4 clears on each node (granted, I was using my newly champed Carnage a lot, mostly because he has 30K health and mostly because he's the only one worth a damn in this lineup). LCap and 2* Wolvie helped out but I basically exhausted the entire lineup just trying to get the 4 clears. I'm not excited for the end-of-timer grind, and then Sub 2.

    The restrictions are terrible for everyone. I don't think there are any great solutions...

    As a general principle, I like to think of the available characters as counters to different enemies:

    goons: Lazy Cap (red, blue)
    Moonstone: Human Torch (red, green)
    Bullseye: Daredevil (purple, blue), Loki (black)
    Daken: Squirrel Girl (purple), Loki (black). Don't use Daredevil red when facing Daken!
    Yelena: whatever, just ignore her
    Venom: same as Yelena
    Ares: a good green user (HT or SG)
    Juggernaut: Human Torch (red), Daredevil (red, blue)

    Besides that, I think Squirrel Girl purple works well with Carnage.

    I haven't given much thought to 4* options though, because my roster is not quite there yet.

    I usually enjoy the Heroics, since you get to use some odd teams, but with the higher scaling and the fact there's really no synergy on any of the teams you can run, it's just grinding for AP until you can fire powers. It also doesn't help that the 4* options are either fairly new characters, or trash tier (yeah we're looking at you icon_invisiblewoman.png).

    Between this event and Venom Bomb, I've renewed my appreciate for Squirrel Girl. She's clearly not top tier, but I'm not sure I could clear some of the harder nodes here (or the deadly Carnage nodes in Venom Bomb) without her.

    Yes, she is pretty good against certain enemies as is Doc Ock. I was using them both on the Venom/Carnage nodes

    Sub 3 hasn't started for me, yet, but it's a safe bet that the boosted 1* reinforcement is Modern Black Widow. At least I'd like to hope it is, as IM35, Storm, Spiderman and Hawkeye have already been used, so mBW's the last non-Dark Avenger left in 1* land.

    Yep, reinforcements for Sub 3 are 3* Beast, 2* Cap Marvel and 1* Black Widow.

    (For players who might not know, during heroic events like this, you can see reinforcements for that sub by pulling up rewards for that day and then looking at Event Rules.)

    I can't seem to make much use of beast and captain marvel. Even with full color boosts, not against the higher match ups.
