Defensive Lineup

How does the game determine which chars to use when you're defending in a PvP tournament? Does it default to the last set of three you used when attacking? Does it use an algorithm to determine which three are your most powerful? Would love to know if there was a way to "set" my defensive lineup before I walked away for a couple of hours.

    It's who you won with last.

    No algorithms, it's always the last team you won a match in that event with.

    Tend to use higher hp characters and healers when defending.

    What if I change the attacking team and win more fights, and then get retaliated for win with the "old team"? Is it a retaliation against the team that beat you, or the last one used? This is confusing me a little.

    There is a delay in who other players see.

    Example you last won with Hulk, Wolvie, black widow

    You are now play with Thor, Punisher, Daken

    While you have that roster active, the game may still show you as with Hulk, Wolvie, and Black Widow, but after how ever long it takes to update, it will eventually show you with Thor, Punisher, Daken assuming you won a match with them.

    If you attack me with Hulk/Punisher/OBW, then attack NorthernPolarity with Patch/OBW/C.Mag as your last match before a break,

    I will see Hulk/Punisher/OBW in my retaliation screen,

    NorthernPolarity will see Patch/OBW/C.Mag in his retaliation screen,

    Anyone who gets you in a normal queue will see Patch/OBW/C.Mag


    Retaliations are who you attacked that person with.

    Your queue team is the team you last won a match with
