Relentless Dead - Exert Influence

Whose graveyard should Relentless Dead be going to when it's been Influenced and then dies? Because I've had an AI control it, and it then kept returning under his control, not coming back to mine when it died (or just going to the graveyard and staying there). Unsure if this is WAI or bugged.

Exert Influence and Welcome to the Fold basically mean it's not yours anymore forever (at least during the match ). The only thing that doesn't transfer with stolen creatures is activate abilities for some reason.

At least some abilities transfer control... I stole a General Tazri today, and she had a lovely time buffing her new blue friends. But then, I stole her the turn she hit the board, before her gems spawned.
