You don't join a main bracket until you select an end time. The amount of people in your bracket should be in a red band above the black band that states how much time is left in the event. It is easiest to just check the last post in the thread, to see what the latest info someone has provided. If the time zone settings in your user profile are correct, you should be able view the time the person posted, to see how current their info is. There is a possibility of multiple brackets filling side by side, so join a "fresh" bracket at your own risk.

Useful info to provide

1)Time slice you are in
2)Current amount of people in bracket
3)Leader in bracket with amount of points
4)Time you joined the event, if it was not right before posting in the thread.

    Update: by the time I became #1 in this slice, it filled.

    edit: after my clears, slice 1 at 463, -Barry Allen- in first, 16 of us at 10640.

    Just joined Slice 3 vet, and it's at 558 (sub at 559). Doubt this will fill before sub 1 ends, but I'll try to update again.

    Also, has anyone joined an event where the slice details were completely different, indicating a parallel group (ex: less players than stated even though the information was posted 5 minutes ago)? I'm just curious how reliable this information can be if people commonly wind up in another group in the same slice that isn't relatively fresh.

    Sometimes there are two concurrent brackets. That's the risk you take, and you are still not going in blind.
    Anyway, Slice 2 has 532 players at the start of the second sub.
