Something to do with Runes

Are there plans for something useful to do with runes? I have leveled every planeswalker and still have 850K+ unusable runes. It makes me never want to spend another dime on the game, knowing I'll likely get nothing but duplicate cards which means more useless runes.

If there was something other than leveling planeswalkers to spend them on it wouldn't be so bad. It would feel like opening more duplicates wasn't a complete waste of money. Ideally you should be able to spend a large amount of runes to purchase a single chosen rare/mythic of my choice. Even like 100K per mythic would be acceptable (though high for how much time and money 100K runes takes to accumulate...)

Just SOME reason to be happy with accumulating runes would be good.
