Thraben gargoyle not attacking

I only saw this in a non transformed hargoyle:

Like the big blue creature that only attacks with 8 blue on the board it has a cross through its defense stat and a blue haze, it doesnt attack, is that right?

    I don't know if this a bug, rather than just something that was omitted from the description on the card.

    If that would be the case then he's wildly overpriced....

    I think this glitches. Normally indeed it's not meant to be able to attack - the paper Magic card has Defender on its front side:

    But occasionally I have seen it attack even without transforming.

    I'm almost sure that on SoI release, the description was "Can't attack", like Guardians Of Meletis. I think it has been removed on last patch...
