Roster Management?

Is it worth it to double up a character in your roster? I basically have one of every character (no X-Force wolvie, tho, and not all characters are maxed either in level or abilities), but don't use some of them at all. Is it worth it to dump, say Bag Man for an extra 3* Spidey or an extra Punisher? sometimes i win a 3* cover i don't need and just eat it for the iso... seems like a waste?

There are very minimal advantages to doubling characters (health pack downtime). It's generally seen as not worth it.
  • Unless you really want to level up a different build for a character that you will actually use in addition to the build you already have and are willing to collect 10-13 covers and use all the iso to level them up I don't think it's worth it. Take the iso instead.
  • It's really better to spend your ISO on a different character rather than two copies of the same one. Main reason being that you can't use two of the same character on a team, so you'll be more restricted in your roster choice if you don't diversify. Spider-Man is also probably the last hero I would want two copies of, since he can already heal himself. It would be a lot more viable to have something like 2x Hulk or 2x Patch so you could grind PVP quickly and indefinitely without a healer.
  • I kept second builds before Respec was an option. I never found the time to level them. Sold a 5/5/3 lvl 1 Thor after the nerf.

I would only recommend it if you want to fix a character and Respec cannot help you. For example, some people like to keep Venom at 5/4 to keep his stun price at 4 AP instead of 7. You cannot take a cover away for Respec, so you need to start over.

I am very happy with my lvl 25 2/5 Modern Black Widow. She just hides behind all the stronger people and cheaply steals their AP. Part of me wants to give her one more cover, but that part of me is easily distracted by shiny objects.

    Don't do it!
  • Thanks everyone! I'll just keep working on the ones I have.
