I think there's a typo in your post. In-game the max progression (25 cp) is listed at the 40.000 points score

thanks. Got distracted checking previous max progression levels and forgot to update it.

This is also the first time the progression target is relatively high compared to previous runs since the new system was permanently implemented, if I am not mistaken. 3 clears per sub are not gonna cut it.

It's treated as a new character release.

Still, I believe Simulator was the event chosen for the release of Kate Bishop with a progression target of 32k. I think 40k is a lot for such a challenging event, especially with the new scaling rules. That said, I hope I'm wrong.

This event feels slightly overtuned, there's a level 90 Drax one shotting my 2-3 star transition roster for a mere 8 red icon_lol.gif

A first victory adds 25 levels, I don't think 3 full clears is going to be feasible.

Yeah, on first glance it looks like they forgot to account for Simulation 7 not being repeatable. We shall see, I guess.

If it makes you feel any better, when you get to the 3-4 star transition, you'll have a higher level Drax one-shotting your characters for 8 red, so you have that to look forward to...

Still, a lvl 90 character doing ~5500 damage for 8 seems a bit much.

    Level 376 here: 17,281 damage for 8.

Just don't let him get it off. If you bring a stunner (which you should be doing anyway on a Hulk node) the rest of that team isn't particularly hard and if you get unlucky and fail to deny red you can still usually retreat before he actually uses it.

I know it seems like a crazy ridiculous ability, but it's basically all he does (his purple does almost nothing if you wait out the countdown and his black is expensive enough that it should probably not be happening under normal circumstances), and it isn't super hard to counter.

Even if your only stunner is a minimum level MBW you got covers for out of your last few recruit tokens, that fight should still be manageable at that level.

It's always interesting seeing the new characters in these events. With all the events that repeat, you generally don't see high level new characters often, so it makes me question who to target first sometimes. Drax in the first sub, Kate in the second, I just don't know how dangerous they are at this point. I know simulator is hated, but it is at least interesting at times.

Rulk/Im40/switch on any node you can.

    What tier?

I've been seeing success with a lot of 3* Daken-centric teams, since when he's championed and buffed he's just super hard to kill, and he hardly shows up at all as an opponent in Simulator. Kind of the 3* version of OML. :p

Stunners tend to be very good since there are no goons in Sim.

I've been messing around with Patch/Doom/Spider-Man (filling up purple tiles with specials to nullify Patch's drawback) and it works decently well. Either you can't match purples and Doom fills the board or you can and Spidey does. It's a rainbow team, buffed Doom offers a pretty ridiculous nuke, and protect tiles plus regen is potent staying power.

When switch is unavailable, I swapped in XFDP.

mostly 3* centered, so I'll try the doom/daken/spiderman even though there is no red user icon_e_smile.gif

I quite like the simulator, but since they are calling it that and designing the whole event around that idea, they should remove the characters being locked out mechanism for this pve event.

I would sub in Daken. Since green is one of 3 colors you are prioritizing you end up with a lot of strikes.

A lot of strikes is nice, but can't compare for me with the hard hitting red that heals and the hefty damage from his black if the opposition gets of a power.
