1 month roster? help

Hi, I played 2 years ago or so but never had a 3 star roster. I started from scratch and am 1 month in.

I have this Roster now.

I only have 26 slots available but I included all my queued covers in this roster. I don't have a maxed 2star yet and reading a bit recently makes me believe it'll take a long time to get a 3star going.
Questions.
1 - I must get rid of 6 characters. Which 3stars should I keep if any at all? (Hi, Colossus).
2- I have 78CP when and where should I spend it?
3 - once wasp is no longer featured I think I'll sell her. Thoughts?

Thanks =)

Welcome back. Here are my opinions to your questions.

If you don't have room for them all I would drop the following 3*s:
    Ragnarok
    Gamora
    Sentry
    Squirrel Girl
    Colossus
    Falcon

They are all in the lower tier as far as 3*s go. You would do better to drop them so you can focus on the remaining 2*/3*s you have.

Just hold onto it now. You will have a lot more use for it once you are ready to start adding 4*s and potentially 5*s to your team. They never expire just like tokens so just bank them.

If you do actually have 3 covers for her, I would hold onto her. At some point, she will be an essential character again that will guarantee you CPs from her node.

Thanks for the feedback. It clears up a lot. However I was thinking since colossus is at 1/4/1 shouldn't I keep him for now?

As for the cp, you don't recommend using it on rares?

Two- and three-star covers are fairly common in the game - you get twostars as random drops in PvP and threestars from the Deadpool Daily Quest, and there's also Heroic/event tokens. By contrast, there aren't many ways to get fourstar covers (1000 Point progression in PvP, top 10 placement in PvE), and fivestar covers can only be gotten from Legendary tokens. In short, while it may be tempting to spend the CP now in the long run you are much better off just holding on to the CP until you reach the fourstar phase and can spend it on legendary tokens.

I wasn't aware of this. No more objections =D

While you do have 6 covers for him, he is really not good and he was just featured as an essential so won't come up in the rotation again for awhile.

If you wanted an alternate 3* to drop, you could go with Bullseye since you just have one cover for him.

The final decision is yours though. We can just give you our opinions. Look at their powers and what they do and see which would you prefer to play with. It is pretty easy to get 3* covers down the road via PVE events and DDQ.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll decide as the tokens expire. I think ill follow most of tge advice. I think ill also throw away daredevil as he just makes me cringe.

    Hi, 2nd month player here.
This guideis a good writeup of 3*s, that should help you decide who to keep and who to let go.

I would keep the 1/4/1 Colossus. He's bulky, inexpensive to level to 80ish to keep others company. His yellow helps him tank, black helps fire off other characters abilities (I especially like the free Thor casts) and red is a really heavy hitter, very few comparable reds in 2* land.

Others mentioned saving the CP. I'd go a step further and save most of the heroic/event tokens as well. They come much faster than roster slots do as you've found by now. Else it becomes a constant "who do I sell NOW?" battle with the cover queue and that's not much fun.

I got a few 3cover 4*s when starting, too. Later on it sorts you to the veteran PvP/PvE bracket and it's impossible to get those. But it's ok - I kind of regret getting the 4*s. Sure, they help a little bit at start, but they take up roster slots and become dead weight until 3*s are done leveling. I'd keep the Wasp, though. It 3 covered and a support character, so might age a little better.

Thanks for the tip. I ended up selling colossus as I didn't like playing him. Pretty much a one trick pony. If there is no red he is poop as I rarely want to use yellow or black.

Got a good idea where to go now =)

    3 months in.

I know that it's unpopular opinion and almost everyone advises against it but I bough about 6 3* covers with CP and I plan to buy two more to complete 2x 3* characters.

I know, that one day in the future I might regret it... or not? I'm about to have two 3* champs (possibly this week) while my next best 3* is at 9 covers (and it's Wolverine Patch that I don't like at all). Two chars that I like, they work together well, they were a massive improvement for my PvE and PvP results.

I just got tired of the same squad that I was using for almost two months and lack of any progress.

I see no problem with that. This is a game and you don't have to min max everything. I did the same thing with Red Hulk and I don't regret it at all. It's a game. Do what seems like fun.

If you're not worried about essentials you can safely ditch Sentry, Ragnarok, and Squirrel Girl. From there, if you need to ditch 3 more, Colossus, Vision, and either Bullseye or Daredevil.

The more preferable option, long-term, is to ditch some 2*. Bullseye, Moonstone, Wolverine, Cap, and Hawkeye are expendable. I don't use them so I'm cycling them. I've also started cycling OBW, but she was extremely helpful in the 2-3 transition.

You need to maintain a core team capable of beating the 2* DDQ, with a backup in case one of your characters is on the opposing team, but otherwise none of them are worth a permanent slot in the long run. It'd be better to get rid of those 5, fill 4 slots with long-term characters, and keep one open to sub in essentials.
