I would like to start a thread that shares tips and answers questions for other players. Please just be honest when answering and DO NOT give out bad info to hamstring others.

Let's begin:

How do you master cards fastest to increase your seeding?

You NEED to do challenge modes for all of the Planewalkers. Not only will you level mythics the fastest, you will learn where the holes are in your deck to be able to fine tune at an accelerated pace.

How do you accrue points so fast in events? I have to wait 3 hours for my planeswalker to heal.

*Answer needed*

Time for someone else to keep it going. Just remember to post a question after you answer the previous one!

Heroic Encounters give you the most mastery per win. I grinded to Green Platinum mostly on the Liliana fight in the first set of Heroic Encounters. Put in a bunch of high rarity cards, and a bunch of low rarity cards, and cycle them out for new cards when you master them. Focus on colored cards instead of colorless ones if you're trying to grind a single color all the way up.

Eventually I ran out of rares and mythics to master and started focusing on uncommons, with common supports and spells.

I assume you mean it takes 3 hours for the plays to recharge, but it's actually 4. Do one match with each planeswalker first, to allow their 4 hour timer to start recharging, then play the rest of your games. For both this event and NoP, obviously you want to win all your games. How to do that is probably more than extensive than a tip post, and I'm not sure if that's what you're asking.

For this event, it's important to go for the bonus objectives too. I'm running Garruk with Lambholdt Pacifist. I can draw cards quickly with Zendikar Resurgent + his ability to find the pacifist, but even if I don't get 2 of them before winning, his second ability makes wolves, so I can easily get the 2 ribbon objective. For Gideon, I'm running not forgotten, which makes 2 spirits for 1 card and very minimal investment. I'm running moorland drifter too, so if I draw 2 of those I can get both objectives at once, but that doesn't happen very often. For Kiora, I'm running Stitchwing Skaab which is actually a pretty good rate, and broken concentration. I'm running prism array and day's undoing in that deck, which finds those pretty quickly.

Story Mode, Heroic Challenges. Throw three pieces of removal in your deck and you can win with pretty much any other 7 cards chosen at random. (include at least 3 creatures). I prefer to play against Gideon or Chandra, because Liliana makes you discard and Jace bounces your stuff, so playing against them takes longer.

    Good stuff everyone,

Remember to post a question at the end of each post. After a week or two I will put all answers into a guide for everyone to enjoy!

    A:

In addition, to filling your deck with removal, be sure to include at least 2 rare or mythic supports that are colorless into each deck (mirrorpool, rogue's passage etc.). This takes little to no effort and increases mastery faster!

Q: What is the best way to approach deckbuilding for PvP events.

    Let's keep it going!

Actually, you accrue points at the same rate.

If you run 10 commons, you'll get 20 mastery points in 2 games.

If you run 10 uncommons, you'll get 40 mastery points in 4 games.

If you run 10 rares, you'll get 80 mastery points in 8 games.

If you run all mythics, you'll get 160 mastery points in 16 games.

If you're going for a specific color, then colorless cards will get you there in half the time. However, they will also bleed points to the other colors.

If you go for a 2 color card, then you'll add points to both colors.

It depends what you're trying to do. If you just want to "be gold" in some color, then spam that color and only that color until you're gold. If you want to be gold in all colors, then spam colorless cards.

When you master a card, immediately take it out of your deck and replace it (unless it's one of the core removal cards).

    EDH,

Great points! Please don't forget to ask a question though. I want to make this guide as thorough as possible!
