Here's gameplay of Prized Amalgam freezing the game. I have heard this happening to others.

    Can confirm.

Prized Amalgam died, Stitchwing Skaab tried to bring it back, game froze.

This also happened to me multiple times. Whenever Prized Amalgam is brought back onto the field by some sort of resurrection effect, it locks up the game.

    RIP sick Kalitas synergy icon_e_sad.gif

Ah, so it's not when it triggers it's own ability, it's only when something ELSE brings it back out of the graveyard, like Raise Dead or Ever After?

Here's the freeze I just got.

    Playing Liliana.
Used her first ability to discard Prized Amalgam and another non-creature card.
Used her first ability again to discard Prized Amalgam and a Demonic Pact.
This second activation gave 6 mana to a From Under The Floorboards, as you'd expect.
I made a mana match, and cast From Under The Floorboards.
Zombie token 1 came into play.
First Prized Amalgam came back into play from graveyard.
    Game locked up.
Spell animation continued, and I was able to pause the game and quit out of it.

Not a crash, but some data related to the last post:

    In the last game:
    Playing Liliana
Used her first ability to discard Diregraf Colossus and another non-creature card.
Used her first ability again to discard Ghoulsteed and Prized Amalgam.
    Cast Ever After
    Ghoulsteed came into play
    Prized Amalgam came into play
    ...continued with my turn.

In the previous example, when I played From Under The Floorboards, the Prized Amalgam Triggered whilst the spell was being cast. That doesn't seem to be the case with Ever After, however, otherwise, sure I would have ended up with all 3 creatures in play?

Or, is Ever After targetting creatures in the graveyard? I know that's how Paper MTG works, but if that's whats going on here I'm not sure it's the best system for MPQ since we can never look at our graveyards.

Had a lockup with From Under The Floorboards again; there was one Prized Amalgam in the graveyard, the first Zombie token entered play, and then the game locked up.

I saved a screenshot because it showed the game locking up at a very particular moment:

The white support on the board is Suppression Bonds. Earlier in the game, I played the Ghoulsteed, which reanimated the Prized Amalgam. The Prized Amalgam moved into slot 1 as a defender, and was Disabled.

When I cast From Under The Floorboards, the first zombie token came into play, and so the game re-ordered what it thought were three creatures with no defensive capabilities in the order they came into play: Ghoulsteed, Prized Amalgam, Zombie token. Note that at the point where the game locked up, the Prized Amalgam is still Disabled by the Suppression Bonds; the Disabled animation is still working (as are the other animated elements of the screen).

I really hope this gets fixed soon. Zombies are so much fun to play with.

    Not yet, unfortunately.
  • I've seen freezes in new and different ways. Does that count as "fixed"? icon_e_wink.gif

I tried to understand what makes it freeze(cause it does not happen always).

    I didn't manage to.

    Still bugged and freezes randomly.
Last time it did even make all my creatures disappear as a punishment to not allowing him to return to the field(field was full and I chose not to let him replace).

I've been able to reproduce a "crash scenario" three times now using the "return" ability of the Prized Amalgam.

I have Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet in play, plus one other creature. The Prized Amalgam is in the graveyard. I use a spell/ability to destroy an opponent's creature which triggers Kalitas' "Summon 1 2/2 zombie" ability. When this 2/2 zombie comes into play, this triggers the ability of the Prized Amalgam, but because all three of my creature slots are full, I have to destroy one of the creatures. I choose the 2/2 zombie token, which brings the Prized Amalgam into play and promptly crashes (locks up) the game.

Conversely, if I choose *not* to destroy the 2/2 zombie token, gameplay continues as normal.

    Hope this helps.
