How to clear PvE now?

I've been away from MPQ for a while and I was wondering if they have settled on a PvE clear system? I see they've been doing a lot of tests and tweaks so I was wondering if it's worth getting back into it or if it's still too grindy.

For reference, I just mainly want to get CP progression, not grinding for ranking.

It's very easy to hit progression now. 4 clears of each node done whenever you want during each sub. If you are missing an essential you might have to do 5 clears.

four full clears will put you way past progression.

four full clears will however get you all the best node rewards, including the 500 iso and cp awards. best of all, no crit boosts ever!!!!

If you are looking for max points
Clear 4× as soon as a sub opens
Clear 3× as close to sub end as your roster allows

3-day and 7-day events, 4 full clears/day will get you there with plenty of room to spare.

The 48h subs in 4-day events still throw me, but I haven't missed progression since the new system began even with my uncertainty on the best way to tackle 48h subs for progression.

48h subs: 4 clears at start to commence the timer. 1 clear 24 hours later when timer hits 0. Grind 3x at end. The only difference between a 24h sub and 48h sub is the clear in the middle.

Do your 4 clears a piece in your own time, get the progression rewards.

Don't bother with placement. It's horrible.

There are significant rewards for the fourth clear of every sub, but honestly I'm not sure it's necessary to make placement. I made placement in the Hulk doing 4 full clears of the first three subs and then barely even trying at all for the last four. I think if your goal is to minimize effort, that three clears plus one extra win on the two nodes that give CPs is still probably more than enough to hit progression every time, except maybe on 4-day events.

The weirdest thing about the new structure is that I find myself wishing for more wave nodes, since those are so nice now.

You can't forget with all the nodes that wave nodes are essentially different. Rather then 4x them it's 1x them so timer starts. Then on final clears so easy hard essential then wave till end
