alliance scores and chat not updating

I seem to not be getting the most up to date messages and alliance scores. i miss entire lines of conversation and my alliance pvp score does not update until i shut my phone down and restart it.

The chat problem is an old issue that probably won't get improved until they completely re-code in-game chat. Sometimes reloading the app will show you the missing bits of conversation, but it's really hard to know every time when that's needed.
