PS. I'm not a big fan of how they're issuing 3* versions of the 2* characters without giving them some new/different abilities... what's with that??

Cap has a "new" ability. Once you power his blue up to level two from then on he leaves a protect tile after he generates the ap. Yeah same I can't wait till they actually bring out a new character. I hear its supposed to the human torch which I'm excited for. Same can't wait to build my hulk more. I have him at 3/0/1 and can get him to 4/1/2 if I play everything right in my bracket. Currently top 10 but know that I will be attacked. Ill probably stay that way and then shield up near the end of the event

I would love a *** or **** Phoenix. And either Phoenix works for me; I love Rachel Summers. If they're going to go with the Jean Grey Phoenix, though, they should just go big and make her a **** Dark Phoenix. That would be awesome.

ahh k, good catch on CapA's amped up ability.

I'm generally not a huge fan of 4*s simply because they are useless unless you've got several covers on a character. I'd be pumped to see a Johnny in 3* and a Jean in 4* though

What is everyone's character of choice in this game? I like OBW for her stealing/healing, but lvling up Ares was a HUGE move for this past Sim event.

I'm running mags now and storm classic. Mags feeds storms blue and then storm hits them and usually downs them. I'm going between punisher and thor now to finish the team

My current team is kind of weird because that's just how my levels wound up: Thor/OBW/The Hood. I love OBW and Thor but I'm actually kind of sick of both using them and fighting them, so I'm hoping to get to a place where I can use other characters, and since I'm transitioning into ***s as we speak I'm in that place right now. I'm kind of curious to try a team of Model 40/The Hood/MagnetoMN; it seems to me like Recharge will help Mags get to that 14 Red, and his Blue can feed Ballistic Salvo as easily as Wind Storm. The Hood can steal AP, squeeze off the occasional Twin Pistols, and make Magneto's Flux a 2k one-turn poke for 23 AP with Intimidate.

We're doing decent in this tourney ranking 35th. I'm also ranked 35th...weird huh? Couldn't go anymore. Once I got my 2* token reward I was too disgusted with the game to continue. 3 of my last 4 2* pulls have been bagman. In addition to adding new characters they need to retcon bagman. Totally useless. I know its mean but I really do laugh at anyone who pumped a decent amount of Iso into him.

While I'm ranting at the downsides of this game...4*s suck.IW is not useful til high levels and xforce blows compared to other wolverine's. If I had a 4* wolvie I would expect a red that hits harder than astonishing and a yellow on pace with or better than patch. Is it just me? And if you're gonna make 4*s really hard to get they should be amazing characters like sentry or thanos like I mentioned earlier. They should be able to pwn 3* Spidey who is the most ridiculously broken character no one will talk about on this forum for fear he'll get nerfed.

I support. I am so tired of running Thor/Wolverine/OBW but I don't have the Iso saved to get my storm to 85 or mags up to 70.

I was running through Defenders earlier and at one point all three of my options for teams were either Thor/OBW/Storm or Thor/OBW/Wolverine. I don't know if you read the character ranking thread that came out last week, but they had some really good points about OBW. I like her a lot and I think she's terrific, but I'm also so sick of her. It's been a very confusing time for me.

I haven't gotten a chance to check out that character ranking vorsh mentioned, but i'm not surprised OBW is at the top. If nothing else, she'll keep your team going through many a battle when you're fighting through the final push in an event. My go-to team, like that of many other players, has been Thor/OBW/Wolfie and sometimes Storm (she's a bit weak in terms of hp though despite her cool ability) -- they were simply my first 4 lvl 85s. I think it has a lot to do with how accessible some past events made their covers. Also, they're abilities aren't too shabby.

I too am at the point where I'd like to find a new team (of 3*s) to work towards, so definitely keep us posted with how Model 40 plays out. Right now, I've got Model 40, Hulk, and Patches in their 50s but I really don't know how best to use them at all. Also, I like Daredevil... i just think his abilities are fun loll

The thing I found most interesting about the character ranking was what they said about OBW: She may or may not be overpowered, but which of her powers could you not take away from her (the best of the 2*s), give to Bullseye (the worst of the 2*s), and not have him IMMEDIATELY become playable? It's not even necessarily that's she's OP, it's just that she seems to slot nicely into almost any team, making the question not 'should I use OBW' but 'what would be a good reason NOT to use OBW', and I don't think that's any healthier for the game when it's the question about OBW than it was when it was the question about Thor and/or Wolvie.
