Not sure/Alliance question
okay, so I saw this question asked on another forum but no answer and it got me to wondering...(side note: that forum sucked, and this one seems like best ive seen)
obviously in getting alliances filled you keep a roster spot open someone joins, you give them commander status, they buy spot, etc. rinse and repeat...but what would stop someone from being a real **** and once you give them commander status, they go and kick someone out? Can a commander kick a commander out? I was the one who started alliance, is there anything behind the scene that you don't see that would protect me from getting booted. Sounds really malicious and I really wouldn't expect it but some people are just...bad, for lack of a better word, and I didn't want to see my post full of tinykitties.lol

There isn't anything stopping them. It's kind of risky if you don't trust your teammates.0

Since theres currently no demote option and no overall leader rank the only way I can see it working if you dont want that new invite to be a commander is to invite them, promote them, they buy the slot, then leave the alliance and get reinvited as a regular member.
Obviously needs trust and for there to be no rejoin bugs (which I understand there might be at the moment).
Easiest way would be for there to be an overall alliance leader and a demote option but that would need adding to the functionality of alliances.0 -
Thanks for answers guys.0

Sending an email explaining the situation might get someone demoted. Hopefully it doesn't come to that. Way to be a buzz kill0

This is why I don't bother at the moment purchasing alliance slots. When I first heard about them and the promote action I assumed they would be promoted to Lieutenants or a similar rank in order to keep things clear and safe. Right now the system is too messy.
I would also prefer an alliance "bank" in which players could contribute any amount of HP instead of the current system. This would make it easier for players to expand slowly their alliance by banking low HP to buy slots. For example the members of a 5 slot alliance could offer 150HP each and the commander would then be able to open one new slot. With how things are now a single player must spend 600+ HP for a slot which may be OK for competitive alliances and players, but not for new and casual players. And the later you join an alliance the more your slot will cost you.0 -
Resource sharing with hp and cards will hopefully be a thing. I've found however if you deal with forum people they tend to be good folk. My alliance had no issues with commanders, I imagine most alliances which are forum heavy didn't either0

For the most part, everything went smooth last night, first night we opened up our alliance. someone said before let em join buy slot then leave and come back. but to buy slot hes now a commander. One guy yesterday blatantly ignored buying his slot which aint right and to keep things running smooth my buddy went and dropped the coins for slot which aint fair.
On a positive note, the alliance is now 8/9, and I sent complaint thru the launch page. they replied that they would look into it.0 -

I just noticed I got promoted to Commander in my Alliance. I can confirm that a Commander can not kick another Commander out of the alliance.0 -
That sucks juice. I've bought multiple slots and we have a couple of guys who haven't yet but they said directly they didn't have enough coins at the moment. Someone just lying deserves to get booted
Commanders not being able to bump commanders is why we need a super saiyan lvl 3 who can boot them. *just* in case.
D3 you have my permission to call this new rank super saiyan level 30
