A good feature of this game

One advantage that mpq has over other internet-requiring games is that it doesn't connect to the servers too often, and when it tries to connect, it does it continuously.

Other games that I play connect to the servers between every single button push, so if you're in a low-internet area such as a subway, you can't even get to the gameplay portion, because it freezes, searching for internet, and then it stops the game to give you a window "can't find internet, please click here to try again".

So I appreciate that mpq lets you play without server access for a few rounds, especially in pve, but sometimes in pvp as well (just don't try to look at your opponent's alliance), and it gets you back in the game quickly, once internet returns.
