Cracking open the taco vault (round 2)

I decided that it was worth spending a lot of resources to champ my 3/5/3 iceman.

So i spent 194 taco tokens to get a 12th cover from the vault, and then spent 120cp to direct buy a 13th cover and champ him (my second top tier 4* champ after imhb and 6th overall).

(note on process: I opened tacos until I had received all the rewards I wanted from the vault. I then applied all usable covers, 3*s and then 2*s. I then opened some heroic tokens and 2 classic LTs just in case one dropped another iceman cover (no luck, but I get my first GG black). Then I bought ice up to 13/13 and champed him. Finally, I cycled a couple of 2*s and applied about 20 more covers to my new 2* champs).

Total tacos spent: 194
Total liquid iso acquired: 77,250
Total HP: 2,750
Total CP: 5
Unsold covers still in queue: about 65.

Useful covers:
4*: 2
3*: 20
2*: 45

Early returns suggest that iceman is, indeed, an awesome champ, as expected. So i think this was a worthwhile investment of my hard earned resources.

Nice! I think it will definitely be worth it since Iceman is so quick and is useful in both PVE and in PVP even unboosted. When he's boosted in PVP he's gonna be even better for you.

He was definitely number 1 on my list of "characters for whom I would direct buy a 13th cover". So when the opportunity came around it was time to put my [tacos] where my mouth had been for a long time.

To get a second top tier 4* champ, I think it was a good expense. But I may way for rng to favor me with my next crop of top 4*s (jg @ 12/13, cyclops at 11/13, nova @ 10/13).

Now that I have ice + imhb + some mid tier 4* champs, i think the marginal value of whaleing more 4* champs is significantly smaller. I will try to wait for the covers to come via PvP or token luck.

he and im40 can do so much together. with oml, they make all my simulator points. could be put with any black or red user - 4hor works wonderful, but u end up using her blue most of the time and not super effective on def. 4cyke works, but rarely powers up his super nuke with them. xpool is next best thing to oml and saves on packs. if an earlier transitioner, 3cyke would work well. if I had to start a roster with any 4, it'd be him.
