10 wins is a lot!!! Chapter 1 should be the place where we can go with decks full of otherwise unplayable commons and have a reasonably balanced game against another deck full of bad cards.

There aren't any spaces to play against decks that are bad elsewhere in the game!

Please reconsider and bump this up to 5. Or even make all of the Chapters 4. Anyone who can stomach grinding will be levelling up all their cards in the Heroic Encounters, anyway.

I think you, as I did, should just stop grinding for it.

    I did not even try.
I play some of the few remaining color challenges every now and then switching just some cards mastered.
It will take some time(only red to silver thanks to some QB battle yesterday for fat pack) but I prefer this way.

If instead you still have many color challenges left that can be a good way to grind with side benefit.
Just try to not push it too much.
I would advise not less than 7 actual good cards. Even if most of those 7 are already mastered.

I still think it would have made more sense to just have all cards mastered by default rebalancing the amount needed to level up(basing the mastery on collection alone to make it short).

I feel bad for people that will have to face most of my decks in NoP event since I am still bronze and will be bronze for some other events too.

Koth can manage some easy heroic encounters with decks of mostly lame commons. His first skill makes up for them costing too much while his 2nd and 3rd make it not matter that common creatures have **** stats.

This is definitely a very sensible attitude to take. I started off mastering cards in QuickBattle and it very soon became as exercise in futility, so I gave up mastering completely. During the PvP event, tho, I noticed my blue mastery was creeping up towards Silver and so with a minimum of grinding I raised my Tier to see if my reward Tier would increase for the current event (it didn't).

Some comments made around the forum made me feel like playing in the bottom tiers when I have access to great rares and mythics was a little mean of me, so I thought I'd make a push for Gold over the last couple of days. And I have to say, I've been enjoying doing the color challanges, which I've never had the incentive to do before. If you play a powerful dual colored planeswalker you can experiment with some really ropey cards, but still have a great chance of winning your games so your effort isn't wasted.

Working backwards through the Chapters with progressively worse decks, I had a bit of fun playing Chapter 3, then 2, and my cards were still mastering at a decent rate. When I discovered the huge drop off in XP for Chapter 1, tho, I quit.

I remains to be seen if it's entertaining enough for me to play each level twice more to complete the color challenges for Crystals. I pity those who have trawled their way through the color challenges already...

Aside: Maybe I should have done them all with Sarkhan (RB), and hoped that the new Tamiyo from Innistrad turns up in the next set (WUB) so I'd only have to play the levels twice for the color challenges...

Agreed. I think players with high powered collections must be given enough incentive to do the work to reach the higher tiers (or even just some free xp!), or there willl be a lot of unhappy newbies.

I did it all for the manacrystal.png
But I like the mastery thing, it gives me an excuse to play cards that are **** and makes it a challenge figuring out how to make the janky cards beat lvl 60's.

At least raise the manarune.png reward. 100 manarune.png per battle in gold tier is ridiculous. Make it 500 manarune.png for gold, 250 manarune.png for silver and 100 manarune.png for bronze. It's not like QB where you can endlessly grind it.
