Looks like cheaters are back!

All of a sudden top brackets became loaded with a bunch of names hadn't seen all days. Checked their profiles a lot of them have nothing but 1 stars.

I hope they don't ruin placement for others!!

    Those 1* rosters indicate low PvE MMR, meaning that they are seeing opponents with lower levels. They are not cheating.

    Blame the devs for continuing to create brackets based on time joined instead of putting you against players competing at a similar level.

    This event greatly favors lower level guys because a level 15 lazy Thor is likely stronger than anyone else you have on your roster given the limited selection, so the lower your roster is the better off you'll be because you'd be facing very weak competition and yet your power level isn't meaningfully weaker.

    I don't know if this guy is a cheater but he showed up at the top of my bracket around 9PM EST. Well, that's when I decided to join a bracket roughly. He lacked the 3* Thor at that time but just a moment ago I took a screenshot of his roster. Tell me if this looks off to you. I can assure you that when I first saw him, he didn't have that max level 3* Thor either. I don't believe he was a winner of the previous massive HP reward tourney either. Basically it boils down to tons of money spent or cheating.

    I recognize the name but I'm don't remember why. I think he was at the top of one pve bracket or another I saw recently (within the last month or so). I don't think it was the latest Hulk.

    O_o that is likely all the characters to date maxed.
    If hes spending money, its a warren buffet level expenditure.

    It's always a tough call. I think people underestimate the number of very rich kids. Brazil has a fairly large amount of them, too.

    If you're suspicious, send a report to CS. If they're guilty, then they'll be banned. If they're not, then I hope they stick around for a long time and continue supporting the devs!

    and I was wondering what happened to BRASIL FTW alliance... When I checked their roster, this frodo guy was the only commander, so he must've bought all the roster spots.

    It wouldn't surprise me if someone spent the money to max out every character. I also can't even imagine how much that would cost.

    In all of the games I've played seriously (WoW, Dota, League of Legends, Diablo) there have been rich kids willing to pay unbelievable sums of money to have the best gear or be highly rated. I'm sure a lot of these people who appear to be cheaters are some of these same kinds of people with too much expendable income and no responsibilities.

    Urgh. Cheatengine. Seriously?

    There are ways to detect that quite reliably. The game itself could probably be set up to automatically add anyone that uses it to cheat to the maintained blacklist, isolating them from the regular playerbase. This could possibly be set up completely transparantly without the developers ever needing to manually intervene. Why has this not been implemented yet? Why?!

    Doing this is of course very easy but you very quickly get put into sandbox and
    1) lose the option to join alliances
    2) get bored with the game very fast since it loses all the competitive aspects and you no longer have to play to get iso, hp, covers or anything...

    I don't think that people coming to the forums are looking for cheats, but it would be nice if you edit your post and delete de link that shows how to cheat on the game, just in case. And report that same link to the devs so they know (although I'm hoping they already know and are working on a fix...).

    it is serious for sure.

    i tried it and it worked with my steam account.

    so it is no point to pay for hp anymore. cheaters can get any covers they want without paying a dollar.
