Which covers to Roster? Who to level? Please help!

Hi there!

I would be very grateful for some help with my Roster strategy. I'm a new player - 50 days - and so far my strategy has been play a lot and spend a lot! This is obviously not something I want to keep doing, particularly the latter, so I'm looking for some advice on how I can streamline my play by sorting out my Roster. I've got two free slots which I've acquired by selling Ms Marvel and 2*Cap, and ideally I don't want to buy more slots again, not anytime soon anyway.

So could you please tell me:

a) which characters I should be focussing on building next - I'm currently working on 2*s OBW, Thor and Mags, but should I be working on 3*s yet now that I have 2* Wolv, Torch and Storm championed?
b) if there are anymore I should be trimming from my Roster? The only one I'm keeping even though I know he's not worth it is MHawkeye as he's my fave hero outside of MPQ.
c) which of the ones waiting in the wings should I be rostering immediately and which keeping on standby (or selling). I have the following, in order of expiry:

As you can see I have a ton of Ares which I wish had been diff colours as I would like to champ him but don't see it happening! I could also retrain my covered MNThor but am trying to champ him first so that these covers mean levels and aren't wasted.

I've posted what I think is a link to my actual Roster below, and I would be so so grateful for anything anyone can offer. I'm avoiding playing until I know what to do next, otherwise my empty Roster slots might be filled automatically if I get a cover - and I hate when that happens!!!

Tough one.
You could sell 1* Black Widow for a third slot, as you have Iron Man.
If you are worries about filling the slots while playing before you decide, just use the 2*cap and ms marvel in you roster. You'll get the iso back when you sell them for the character you want and you can keep playontjust now.

C.Mags 3* (9d4h) keep. He is top notch and you'll get covers from 2* Magneto

C.Torch 3* (13d18h) maybe. Your 2* Torch will feed him covers.

future spending should mainly be for hp specifically for roster slots. the easy answer is keep all of them. especially if you have money to spend and see yourself playing the game long-term, rostering all characters (2* and up) provides many benefits now with championing and with pve essentials. you won't be using 4s for a very long time, but down the road if you keep selling them...you'll be pretty frustrated when you think back to selling all those covers. because transitioning from 3* to 4* has gotten harder and harder over the last year or so.

fantastic and IW are the only obvious sells from your list. mbw is the only obvious sell from your roster. the rest have some level of downside to parting with them.

Thanks everyone for your responses so far. I DON'T have money to burn, that's exactly why I'm trying to maximise the slots I've already got. But I definitely do plan on playing for the long term. If I could carry on doing that without spending any more that would be ideal...

Who should I roster then in the immediate future? I just got rid of Cap and Ms Marvel 2* to make some Iso and was thinking to Roster some 3-4*s now? I've heard Cyclops is really well liked, should I try to Roster him? My thought is that when I'm playing at a much higher level with some champed 3*s that I can start filling out the rest of the 2* collection as by then I should've amassed a lot more HP for more Roster slots....

It's hard choices to make for some time to come.
One thing to consider is not to open tokens again until you have HP for a new roster slot, then open them till you get a new character you want to keep.

For your roster:
Sell 1 star Black Widow - Ironman is all you need at that level now (or replace him with Juggernaut)
Roster Magneto
Roster 2 more 3 stars, Torch + ome other that you like. Personally, I use Rocket & Groot the most of the ones you have.
4* will sit on your roster with1 cover for months, 3* give you access to more ddq levels, tacos, etc.

Thanks for that.

So after much consideration I have Rostered c.Mags and Rocket&Groot. I remember facing R&G in PvP and they healed practically full health at the last minute and finished me so I figured that they're a good cover to have. Will consider Rostering Torch instead of MBW in the next few days as well. Have taken your advice too and stopped opening tokens for the time being. Hopefully I will have some HP accumulated soon so I can Roster a few of the more juicy 4*s I have already in my wait list so that I don't lose them.
