Alliance Rewards a Joke
The leaders in the alliance rankings all have 20 members. There is no way a rag tag bunch of supers (5 man alliance) can compete. The only way to have a hope to qualify for the best rewards is to be part of a huge alliance. Large levels of mediocrity is not what a super hero team should be about.
I would suggest the alliance rankings be determined by AVERAGE points per player instead of adding all players together. That way the 5 man alliance and the 20 man alliance each have the same chance at winning the top spot. The winner will be the alliance with the best members, not the most members.

As I believe I saw someone else suggest elsewhere, the best solution is to only have the top 5 scorers from each alliance count. That way having more members still has an advantage, but a skilled and committed team of 5 can still rank highly.0

Top 5 scorers just means large alliances still win and you have 15 freeloaders because it's obvious who your best 5 guys are.
It should be the best 5 ranking because then at least there's a reason to have people beyond your best 5, as they can be potentially stuck in a tough bracket and your 15 freeloaders can actually do something to contribute if they get into an easy bracket.0 -

Yeah, that would be much better, as it stands now it's a clear-cut blatant pay2win feature nothing else.0 -
Never understood the P2W complaint.
First of all, the devs gotta make a living. They can't spend all their time making a game that they don't earn anything for.
Second, the rewards ain't that great. How much does 20 roster slots cost in cash? Like $100? And if they spend that, they each have a CHANCE to win what - 400 more HP than the next rank? Which is worth how much? Like $5 or something? Even if everyone bought their own spot and mitigated it with the reward they are still losing a chunk of money, and that is only if they win at all.
Rather than be irritated that some people are crazy, just shake your head and be glad it's not you.
In another note, anyone want to buy a few spots for DjangoUnbuffed? Free cookies!0 -
This thread made me lol. The devs have to make money and the alliance feature is heavily monetized. It's also part of the meta game right? What else would the gods of mpg do with their time? Mighty walk your path wins at will. We at 5deadlyvenoms have spent time and money to create an alliance of substance and play this meta game. The last two slots are the most expensive, so now instead of playing mpq, I play the game of recruiting the two best players left. It's actually fun and challenging!0
