Daily rewards - select color

How about letting us select the color for just the daily rewards covers? Seems like a good way to improve the value of daily rewards and most characters only show up once.

    I really could have used that when I got a SS black when he was already at 5 black. Sucks to have to waste a 5* cover like that.

    It's a pretty good solution to that problem and it's not exactly game-breaking. Come on guys, let's see it happen!

    All covers should be color ambiguous. Players should be able to choose how to apply a cover to a character. This is my 3rd post on this. It has been a huge problem for everyone.

    I don't think they will ever let all covers work that way but daily rewards seems like a reasonable option.

    maybe making this change will show some goodwill towards the player base and will give them more incentive to spend money, seeing as they have slightly more control over their character's development...

    Which would you rank higher on a d3 wish list, true pve progression scoring or the ability to choose your daily reward cover color?

    The 5* characters should have color choices when you hit 5 colors. Because you only get around 1 per month, so it's a real bummer when it ends up being useless.

    At the very least it should be the case for 5* all the time and for every other level once you have 5 in that particular colour.

    Maybe even just give the ability to 'roll again' when you have 5 in the colour you've been awarded would be fine

    So allowing this would take some effort. Creating some interface for presenting a player 3 options, and a mechanism for granting players credits to use in that interface.

    Actually there is another way they could do this.

    Leave the 3 color cover system 'as is' (ie how you acquire/apply covers).

    But when you draw a color you already have maxed (ie 5 of) you can still apply that to your character. It just adds 1 cover to the next available color 'down' in the list for the character (eg for OML: 6th Black gives Yellow instead, 6th Yellow gives Red instead 6th Red gives Black instead). If you already had 5 in the next color down it would go to the 3rd color (Eg for OML you drew 6th Black and you also had 5 Yellow it would give a Red).

    Ultimately it just doesn't end up mattering that much. At the 3* stage of the game and beyond, iso is such a limiter on progress that dupe covers will eventually go to waste anyway. Whether it happens before or after you fully cover the character is largely irrelevant. Before championing it actually made a difference because dupes after covering a character was a given, but now it's nearly always just a mild feel-bad moment that doesn't actually change how soon you'd get your character to max level.

    There are exceptions with very high priority characters, and players in the 2* meta of course.
