Need new Single Player content
I'm desperate for some new single player content in this game.
I really miss the days when I still had the Prologue to play through. Being able to pick the game up, play a few nodes, get a wee bit of story, and then take a break before doing that again later.
PvE isn't single player. You're still competing with everyone else within a specific time frame to try and achieve a decent reward set. I want something where the rewards are there for each person to achieve, in their own time. Something that has no pressure, and doesn't require grind to achieve reward.
I'm also greedy and would like more story content I can enjoy at my leisure!
I recognise the challenge that creating single player content for rosters which are 2* and above would be, in terms of balancing it to still make it a challenge, without it simply being 3 x 230s all the time. But just because it's a challenge doesn't mean it shouldn't be done.
I still like the idea of mixing it up with single player challenges too. Imagine a map of five or six nodes, where each node is a different type of challenge. You could have a 'beat the clock" node, where the prize is achieved if you win in 30 secs or less. A 1* only node. A females only node. A villains only node. An "only one character allowed" node. Combinations of those! There are lots of options and possibilities.
Make it happen Devs. Give me my new single player content!

I completely agree. They really need to take the PVE events, strip all of the PVP elements out of them (primarily the scaling, rubberbanding, and ranking awards; possibly the tournament points/progression if that's what it s going to take to get them) and add them as tabs next to the prologue tab. They've got the events all coded already; all they need to do is implement it.
This game has much too heavy an emphasis on PVP. For some people, that's fine, but that's not what I signed on to this for.0 -
I would love to have more single player, without scaling and competion, just to play casually sometimes.
I hope someday we will have all episodes in single player without scaling. That would be really great.0 -
Don't hold your breath guys. This game is all about adding competitive elements to everything to entice people to spend money.
Maybe one day if they ever make a handheld version. But with the way mobile gaming is destroying traditional handhelds, I wouldn't bet on that either.0 -
i'd like to see the events added as single player chapters after they've ran like 2 times. that way people can have the competiviness the first time, but then people can see the stories later with normal chapter 1 or chapter 2 levels and rewards like prologue0

But we can have both. If you don t give 3* as rewards for the single player you will still need to play PvE and PvP to win them (and spend money). So everyone will be happy, devs and players0 -
Having all the PvE events as single player would be amazing. have all the nodes give out some ISO, HP, boosts and the occasional uncommon 2* cover.
It would allow new players to progress further before being forced into PvP/PvE Events and it would give established players a small ISO/HP boost and something to do at off times. It would also give a better playground for field testing different team comps without driving your MMR up in SHIELD Training.0 -
Completely agree with the original poster. Timed events are great and make Money, but there needs to be more static content for those that aren't in love with pvp. Or those like me who just need the occasional break from it. The lack of a chapter 1 becomes most glaring at times like this when there is no timed pve event running0

Yup... a true story PVE with ** covers, boosts and ISO as rewards are good enough for me. No need the stress of getting points and competing with other players0 -
One thing I might tweak is to throw in the occasional Heroic as a prize.
If we look at the prologue maps, each map had a 'final level / boss fight'. For future single player content, with a higher difficulty than the prologue to suit game progression, it would be great if you could secure the occasional Heroic, so you would be guaranteed a 2*, but a lucky few could get a 3* or maybe even a 4*.
So maybe not every node, but as one of the four prizes in the boss fight node, that would be a nice change without messing with the eco-system.
I like the idea of having 2* cover progression rewards (no use to me, but nice as an idea of progression for others). D3 could (arguably) look at which covers are rarest / still needed by most players, and make those progression rewards.0
