Nabbed Captain Carter in the Iso-8 event, now I need to clear a roster spot for her. I'm trying really hard not to spend money on this game, and my roster slots are up to 600 hp now.

My roster is in the link in my signature. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

It's probably best to drop one of the single cover threestars then. The two-stars do your heavy lifting, but the threestars are also fairly easy to replace.
I also suggest focusing your ISO on the two-stars. There will be time to level three- and fourstars eventually, but today is not that day.

the 3s I would consider are quicksilver, beast or colossus. they're all similar to me in level of usefulness. its more of a preference thing. if you pve regularly, there are more beast covers coming in dp vs mpq. if you're still in noob brackets, qs is rewards for diving champs and his pvp follows, but with your covers, you'll probably be choosing the loaner anyway. so your call.

Personally, I get much more use out of Beast and QS than Colossus -- but again, that's because of my playstyle.

I'd dump torch. He needs at least 10 covers to be useful. Colossus is another one to consider. He's in the last 4 3* I've yet to champ.

I've been pumping iso into the last two left to champ whenever possible, I just haven't been getting covers for MNMags or Ares lately.

I've also been levelling the "top tier" 3*s when I can because I have a ton of iso right now, but again it's when I get covers.

I'm an X-Men fan and hate Fantastic 4, so based on that alone I'm inclined to say flame off.

colossus gets my vote. at 4 covers he's not worth keeping over a 4*.

My vote goes for Venom or Collosus.

Venom is a lousy char in my opinion atleast this early, and Coll is also bad but atleast you can use him in DDQ from time to time to get Tokens,

Another question, is Falcon throwing off my scaling? I've been having a lot of trouble with TBE lately.

There's no scaling in the DDQ, everyone has the same difficulty.

TBE is the same levels no matter the roster. there is a minimum roster level required to be able to get through it, but as your roster progresses, it gets easier. now that there are mixes of characters and goons, possibly on each wave, there is a wide range of difficulty in TBE, so some days lower rosters will struggle, or possibly not be able to finish without some luck. other days, it is considerably easier. I recommend looking up https://d3go.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=39967&start=200 to see what is coming in each wave. if its all goons coming in the next wave, finishing a wave with a power is not critical. if its a character and they have some ap built up for a power, finishing the current wave with a match-5 or a power becomes much more important so that character in the next wave can be stunned or taken down.

The last few days the first wave has been taking me out completely.

Yeah it was unexpectedly hard this week, so don't feel too bad. For the first time in months, I actually wiped in Enchilada, not just once but TWICE. The first time I lost because I picked the wrong team, second time because I simply got pwned before I finally opted for my boring-but-guaranteed team of IM40, LCap, KK.
