Split current Story into two event types

Here's a proposal to increase daily play in the game while trying to appeal to more player types.

Split the current Story into two game modes.

Challenge
A new game mode. This is where Simulator, Gauntlet, and Heroic Story lives.
Progression rewards!
Insane scaling!
8 hour point resets!
It's says Challenge right on the label, so everything you throw at us has full disclosure for you doing your worst.
Everything we endure, and sometimes even like.

Story Mode
Everything 0/1 clear.
EVERY CHARACTER gets an event they can be won in, where they are always boosted. From a 2* joke Bagman 24hr event, to all 4* characters getting support. Take current events and arbitrarily assign a character to them, for a team focused event press the team out across the event.
This is also where your Boss modes should live. Retrofit old bosses to 5* covers (Galactus pays out Silver Surfer). Add new bosses linked to 5* covers (fight Dark Phoenix for Phoenix cover).

The Kicker:
Give us an Heroic version of each "nerfed" story event. Heroic Enemy of the State is the nightmare we just limped through, regular Enemy of the State becomes a 0/1 clear run that has fixed cover rewards of characters featured in the story. Heroic version is the one to make us wail and gnash our teeth fighting each other for placement rewards.

But it becomes optional which we play, and we have MORE to play.

Should events be split, I would additionally suggest that Story always boosts it's characters featured in the Story, since it's messy and weird to show one thing while doings something complerely different.
