Next 4* to champion

I have the following 4*s at 13 covers:

• Ant-Man
• Miles
• Star-Lord
• X-23

(I've already champed Fury, XFW, XFDP, and IMHB.)

I've got three more at 12 covers, including Iceman. Thor and Jean are at 11.

I'm not giving up on my dream to champ Star-Lord (one day!), but I assume that Bobby should still take ISO priority over any of the 13-cover characters, even while he's at 12?

Bobby, Jean, Thor in that order over anyone you have at 13 covers already.

if you build up enough iso before bobby, jean, or thor are ready and need the champ fix, x23 is a solid character. her purple is very, very inconsistent, but her green is solid and her healing is solid. also, if you play against oml a lot (mmr dependent), antman can turn all those strikes for you, but takes some setting up, and will be a target in pvp. antman was also my mvp in this last EotS, but he doesn't have to be leveled for pve.

I'm wondering if it's worthwhile to just save the 120 CP to get Iceman that last green -- he's 2/5/5 right now and I've already had to sell an unusable cover of his. Although I may wait until August to see what pops up in my taco vault first, at which point I might have more ISO to champion someone else.

Augh but now I see that his tacos are sweet, and so are Jean's! Who is also at 12 covers!

you have jeanbuster and 3 others. if you didn't have jean, or had only 1 or 2 champed, I'd say it might be worth it. because it would vastly improve your performance. however, I'm not sure you'll get enough return for that 120 cp investment.

I would go next for X-23 or Ant-Man. Probably X-23 since she self-heals

Pulled a Legendary Token(!) from the Ultron vault, opened it got a purple for my 2/5/5 Bobby. So, with 97 CP currently in stock, my immediate plans are set: I'm championing Iceman in two weeks. I need another 160K in ISO (easily doable with my schedule), and I'm about to get the progression from R&G today.

But here's the rub: Icy's Taco vault opens in ~11 days, which *might* have that elusive green and for which I *might* be able to fish with what I expect to be 60-70 tacos, and I wouldn't have to spend that CP. However, 4* Jean is also on the Sweet cycle right before him, and she's 3/4/5. If her vault is either purple or blue, should I try to fish for her, or should I wait for Bobby?

UPDATE: Ah well, that last question is academic now that my Taco vault has a green Jean.

Long-story short: I pulled that green Iceman from an event token (blessed be the RNGs!) so I spent my CP on generally useful pulls (sold 1, queued 1 that I'm probably going to sell, added 1 to an underleveled 4*, and added 3 champ levels). He's my fifth champed 4* now, hoorah.

I've also pulled a 13th 4hor, but I'm getting my 13th (usable) Jeanie from the daily resupply in a couple days.

So as it stands:

After that point, should I keep working on my fully covered 4*s (Star-Lord, Miles, Ant-Man, Sam Wilson, IW (haha right), Elektra), or finish off maxing and champing my 3*s?

Jean first. You'll only use thor when boosted. I'm still 3 covers from maxing X-23, so I can't really say where she fits, but I can tell you that you'll use Jean (especially in pve) whether she's boosted or not.

The 3's you have left are the same ones I haven't champed and won't. I'd save your iso, but I'm not the type who feels the need to max em all. The only reason to even consider wasting iso on Sentry would be because he'll eventually spit out a Rhulk cover.

I would stay focused on Jean. She is just all around better for both PVP and PVE even when not boosted.

Of course, I wouldn't sell the Thor cover until you absolutely have to because you never know what might happen. They may shower everyone with the millions of ISO people need to actually level their rosters.

Seriously, It is always good to keep covers until you have to sell them unless you need to perform a fire sale. If you get a random second cover of the same color you get a little more ISO than just 2000. For that reason, I've started only selling extra/dupe 4* covers when there is only a day left on them.

On a side note, X-23 is an amazing character for grinding PVE nodes. Her OML and XFDP do some serious work for me grinding the higher level nodes because they can all heal in one way or another. They have helped me get easy-ish top 50s so far in the non-character release PVEs.

So thanks to the ISO bomb from SHIELD Ranks, I maxed and champed both X-23 and Jean, and finally (FINALLY) applied the covers to Ragnarok and Daken that yielded X-23 covers. That leaves ~400K ISO left, which is pretty much earmarked for 4hor -- however, I did pull two FalCap covers, one of which I used to respec him before I realized, "Hey, I could champion him now too..." -- but I guess I won't do that!

New priority! Now in the midst of another CW event, we have three 4* Cyclops covers up for grabs that my alliance is gunning for. Having recently pulled another blue Cyclops (now 5/1/3), it looks like my plan is to get him to 5/2/4 and POSSIBLY use the CP I'm stockpiling to get that (12th? and) 13th cover. (Champion rewards are not going to get me the covers I need any time soon, of course.)

Cyc blue is the 1k reward in the Cap Marvel PVP that is just starting. That'll get you to 5/2/5. ALWAYS check the 1k reward list before spending cp on a cover.

I'm thinking Carnage, Miles, or Ant-Man would be the best of this bunch? (The next best covered 4*s are Mr. F (hah), KP (11), Cho and PX (10), Nova (9).

I also have Spidey as my last unchamped 3*.

Cho is definitely next on my list since I have him maxed with a cover in the queue. For you though, I would probably go for him or possibly Ant-man. He is so annoying to fight against especially with special tile creators. I have the ISO banked but I'm holding off until folks actually get to play with him a bit.

If baking was still going to be a thing, I would have suggested Carnage because he is a great baking TU giver. Guess not anymore.
